A man's wrist band from Afghanistan, hand-embroidered by Lakai Uzbek women, probably from Kunduz province. Circa 1970. Solid embroidery in cross stitch with hooked motifs. These motifs, their colors and repetition, are common in the embroideries of Tajikistan and Sukhanderia in southern Uzbekistan. The embroidery features buttons and beaded tassles on both ends. A tobacco pouch from Indus Kohistan, probably Palas or Kolai valley. Cotton embroidered with silk in satin stitch. Beautiful, very large hand enameled vase by either Moser or Mont Joye. I'm not sure which, as I have seen vases like this attributed to both makers. This one is quite large - 15 3/4" tall x 6" wide at its widest. It is beautifully enameled with purple and white iris on one side, and all white iris on the other. The glass itself is lightly ribbed vertically, and there is gold iris decoration bordering the top, center and bottom. It is in perfect condition.

Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the #1122 2 1/2 oz footed cordial or whiskey tumbler in emerald green. Tumblers are very difficult to find in this pattern, so get them while you can.
