His works are highly valued in art circles and also in the art markets.
The piece here was from a descendant of a diplomatic official who was accredited in Japan before 1961.
The work is 137cm x 32cm inner frame.

1950s era Chinese Rose Quartz brush washer styled as a pond having a hand carved amethyst Mandarin duck resting on the only flat spot on top. The rose quartz of a high quality and finely polished. The duck is well carved and pegged into the top and you can turn it slightly. However, I would not know if you would be asking for trouble if you tried pulling it out. A beautiful piece, it measures 4.5” long, 2.5” wide, and 2” high including duck.
Measuring 29 x 37 cm this child's waistcoat is from Indus Kohistan. Condition is excellent, and it dates to the mid 20th century. The embroidery technique is straight stitch in silk thread on a black cotton background, embellished with white glass beads and buttons. Kohistan has a rich local history as a crossroads between Central, South and Southwestern Asia...
A black & white photograph by the Vietnamese photographer Huong Ky, showing two men from an ethnic minority smoking. With blind stamp "Huong Ky Hanoi". Dimension: 17.6 cm x 23.7 cm. Condition: margin with little partial yellowing, one corner with tiny dog's ear.
This is an imposing early 19th century Kakiemon style porcelain vase of Japanese origin inspired by a 17th century model currently valued in excess of $700,000. A piece similar to the original dated 1680 from the Blenheim Palace collection was exhibited at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford in 1989.
21" in height, this vase is well enameled with three identical garden scenes separated with bands of blue flowering vines.
Condition: Excellent, with no chips, hairlines, or repairs...
Two Japanese pottery yunomi. One cylindrical with a warm terra cotta colored glaze with white dripping on a coarse, light buff body burnt to an earthy orange where the bottom meets the glaze - the ring foot notched beside an impressed, three character artist's mark. DESCRIPTION: A handsome rectangular Chinese chest crafted from a deep red ox leather and furnished with brass fittings. The interior still has the original blue silk lining and would have originally held scrolls or documents. Today it would make an attractive accent piece on top or underneath a cabinet or table. Good condition with some scuffing on edges; blue silk interior has some stains and small holes. This chest originated from Zhejiang Province and dates from 1920-1940...

Date: 1900s-1910s.
Size: Chuban. Approximately 10.5 x 8.25 inches.

Condition: Excellent. The original "Made in Japan" stamp on the verso shows through a bit in the sky.
A very rarely seen seascape and Fuji view.
This little girl's chemise was made by Uzbek women and measures 45 cm across the shoulders, 49 cm from the top to the bottom hem. Silk ikat combined with jajim and silk thread embroidered in long and short stitch. Condition is excellent.
Silk meisen kimono with colorful geometric stripes. It has thin cotton lining and red silk cloth in the hem of sleeves. In good condition except for a few mending patches in the lining. 1930s. 124cm x 150cm
Japanese Ando ? Yellow Ground Pink Rose Vase Silver Rim and foot the base marked with a diamond with a capital A in the center. The rim foot and wire seem to be silver with tarnish (new owner can clean if the like) undamaged size 7.25"

Early Showa period (1930s) Japanese kogo (box for incense during tea ceremony) of turned wood, the top lacquered black, the bottom red. Superbly elegant object in Japanese taste with overwhelming simplicity, two parts fit perfectly, beautiful surfaces, in excellent condition. Diameter 2 3/8 inches.
