A Dehua Blanc de Chine figure of Guanyin

The bodhisattva is modelled seated resting her hands on a rock cliff hidden inside her long flowing robes with one foot exposed. Around her neck she wears a jewelled necklace and a serene expression on her face. The colour an ivory tone.

Age: 19th Century or earlier

Size: Approximately 8" high by 5-1/2" wide by 4" depth

Condition: No noticeable cracks or restoration

It is 7.7 inches (19.7 cm) in length by 4.9 inches (12.6 cm) wide. It is 0.25 Lb.

It has flea bite chips at the edge, dark spots and surface wears (as seen in the photos).

Charming Chinese small traditional child garment from the 1930's ...Expensive (from a wealthy family) deep blue silk damask fabric, with hand embroidered decorative central medallion on the front. The top is trimmed out with wonderful detailed pink, white, and tan trim, I think this trim was actually manufactured in France and imported to China during the 30's...

A bowl, made in imitation of late Qing Imperial style, with two roundels - one depicting a five clawed Dragon and the other a Phoenix - both separated by two iron red bats and above stylized breaking waves. The base carries what is probably the factory mark which, in Pinyin, reads "Jiu Jiang Hui Kang Chu Pin". This item was made in China in the 1940s during the late Republic period. The fabric on this small purse from Bamiyan is cotton, solidly worked in brick stitch in silk thread, the colors alternating between celadon, pink, orange and red. Circa early to mid 20th century. The interlocking rhomboid design and hooked diamonds are typical of Hazara embroidery. This purse measures 10.5 x 18.5 cm when opened, 8 x 10.5 cm when closed. Condition: Excellent (e.g., no stains, no flaws, no damage)
