Japanese silk fukusa with yuzen technique and sumi-e hand painting. The shimmering effect of the water was achieved by the delicate use of silver surihaku. Red embroidery on the crane’s head and some white embroidery on tail feathers highlight those features. On the reverse is red rinzu silk with a large peony motif. All four original tassels are still intact. There is a break in the boarder thread in the upper left corner (see last photo) but could be repaired...

Chinese jade vase carved with blossoming flower branches and birds. Carved of a single jade pebble. The vase portion is a whitish green color and the flowers and birds are carved of the orange outer rind of the jade stone. Highly carved and three dimensional.

Large Japanese woodblock print of a horse by the artist Nakayama, Tadashi (born 1927). Titled, "Cyclone". This image of a horse stands with it's mane billowing with bits of color and metalic leaf. Three(3) Japanese Hina Dolls, Meiji period, 9 1/4" to 6 1/4" high, 4 3/4" to 5 1/2" wide, 3" deep, with humorous face expressions were very well executed, carved out of the wood and lacquered, all have glass eyes. Each guys wearing silk garment and hat. Three(3) pieces of accessories came with doll set and the condition is good except silk garments are stained slightly with age and one(1) hat has loose rope.

Bizen Saki jar 17th -18th c this jar with its rich brown glaze with slight green undertones marked with kiln adhesions and a shell mark as well. It is in great condition there are 2 slight chips to the rim done ages ago.Size h 9 1/4 " w 7 "

Saiho-hinagata (or hinagata), the sewing sample which is a miniature sample to learn sewing. It was invented by an educator for saving time and textile using a special measuring rod. It was practiced in a girl's school from Meiji 7, 1874). Measuring 38.5 x 86 cm, this cushion cover from Hazara District in Pakistan is in excellent condition. As the Hazara district is situated between Punjab and Swat, the embroidery of this area is stylistically very similar to that of the Swat Valley. However, these pieces are generally more complex in design and construction. On one face of this textile the space is stabilized by two central medallions set within an elaborate network of octagons, diamonds and ram's horns in perfect symmetry...

This great vintage wall hanging can be hung anywhere. It reads "Shalom" in its colorful, stained glass, abstract design. It has 5 hooks to hold keys, caps, etc. It looks beautiful just hanging from anything. It measures 8" x 2" x 3/8" and hangs 6 1/2" from its chain. It is bronze and made in Israel in the early to late 1960s to early 70's by The Terra Sancta Guild. In English, "Shalom" means "hello, welcome, good-bye, peace," etc. It weighs about 5 ounces and is in excellent condition.

Set of 7 Francis I sterling silver nut dishes. Made by Reed & Barton in Taunton, Mass. 1951-52. Quatrefoil well, lobed sides, and scrolled rim. Embossed fruits and leaves. Mexican Pre Columbian Tlatilco Terracotta Head with crescent headdress . Rare fragment from an early culture c 1200bc-600bc. Tlatilco is noted in particular for its high quality pottery pieces, many featuring Olmec iconography. Tlatilco figures were known for their elaborate hair styles. The headdress has been reattached . Size 1.5" by 1.6"

A child's helmet (khohl) from Pakistan which is daily attire for both girls and boys of the villages in Kohistan. It measures 34 cm from the beaded tassel on the peaked crown to the forehead hem, and 102.5 cm from the tassle to the V-shaped bottom hem. The diameter of the cap is 27.5 cm. Satin stitch and petit point (half cross stitch) in silk thread on a black cotton ground, the helmet is embellished all over with white and red glass beads and buttons. Its condition is excellent with no flaws...
