Glass ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) in a form of tombodama bead in barrel shape with semitransparent body and decoration of Santa Claus, Christmas tree and falling snow. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Beautifully made, very pleasant patina. Diameter 0.72 inches.

Vintage Chinese soapstone miniature brush rest carved to represent a Taihu scholar’s rock with numerous perforations and crevices. Beautiful Laos soapstone with part of the boulder’s original caramel colored skin left on the side, wonderful carving, compressed dust on the surface, in great condition. Attractive Japanese lacquer box containing matching pair of covered boxes. The leaves and flowers of the branches design are gold makie. The large box is 12 inches x 5 inches x 2 inches high. Top of large box is slightly dulled with age and exposure. Inside boxes approx 3 inches x 5 inches x 1.5 inches high and are pristine. No loss and no damage.

A colorful green and white bakelite die holds a set of six chrome and bakelite dice picks in this Art Deco set. The cocktail pick holder (“porte-piques”) was once a fixture of every French bar or café. Today they can be used to spear cocktail olives, cherries or onions, or to serve small hors d’oeuvres.

Cast iron boot scrape in the form of a Scottie in its original blue paint. The two long spikes that hold the boot scrape in the ground are marked "Copyrighted 1927 By Household Patent Co. Morristown, PA." The company made a variety of metal products such as weather vanes and boot scrapes. Excellent condition; about 5% paint loss; the back side has remnants of old fabric-based adhesive tape that could be removed. 10" wide; 15.5" tall.

Pretty set of eight bone china coasters by Royal Worcester. Each has a hand painted transfer-printed floral bouquet design. The outer edges are ridged and the rims are gilt. In addition to their original purpose, the coasters could also be used for nut dishes or even butter pats.

India 19th c hand carved stone spice bowls, used throughout India in traditional homes these spice bowls are carved in a variety of stone these are mostly seatite . The larger has a nice warm patina I use one in my kitchen for sea salt. Size over 3.75 w on larger 2.75 or so on the smaller H just under 2 " on taller.

Brooch no100B (sometimes referred to as no120) is a small design with two tulips and berries. Another vintage GJ piece, this brooch is also a classic that was produced after 1945, according to the Georg Jensen mark. Georg Jensen in a circle of dots, sterling Denmark, and 100B are on the back of the pin. The pin is 1.5in (4cm) long.

This child's hat from the remote valleys of Indus Kohistan measures 15 cm in diameter and 45 cm in circumference. Embroidered in an extremely fine tent stitch (petit point) and ladder stitch in acrylic thread, it features a beaded tassel and a horned amulet made of the teeth of a musk deer, believed to repel evil spirits. The hat is estimated to date to the mid or late 20th century and is in excellent condition.
