A very nice Victorian watch fob chain of woven hair accented with 14K yellow gold fittings. The weaving is very nicely done from hair in a soft chestnut color. The center of the chain features a paneled gold fitting from which is suspended a gold-mounted pendant drop with acorns and leaves. A spectacularly fine, museum-quality Victorian figural watch fob worked in 18K yellow gold and platinum depicting Aesop's fable "The Fox and the Grapes." Circa 1935, this late Art Deco watch is delicately crafted of platinum and diamonds. The band is made by Kreisler out of stainless steel and is marked as such on the clasp. The watch face measures approximately 1 3/8" long and 3/8" wide. It has approximately .50 carats total weight of baguette and rose cut diamonds on the front. The back of the watch is completely unmarked but has tested as platinum. The watch winds and keeps accurate time, but we do not warranty old watches...

A lovely Japanese painting on paper of two men observing the moon. This scroll was sold on consignment by a Japanese dealer named Sakura. According to Sakura and in his opinion, this painting would date from 1800-1849, and is in fair to good condition. All genuine antique scrolls will show signs of wear and discoloration and in some cases damp staining. The painting appears to be salvaged and remounted at least 20 years ago.
