Over the years we have taken a special interest in Raku-ware and especially in works produced by the Tamamizu kiln, such as the 300+ year old ceremonial tea bowl seen here. This rare set of five hand wrought 1930's sterling silver heart shaped buttons were designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1930's. Each button measures 3/4" X 3/4". All are in beautiful condition & each is signed on the reverse with the early WS hallmark. In our 30+ years of collecting Spratling we have never come across this design.

Tea bowl with enamelled blue and gilt decoration, Jiaqing c 1800. The blue inside border with small stars in gilt makes it probable that the bowl was intended for the American market. Height: 2" / 5 cm, diam: 3 1/2" / 9 cm. Condition: rim frits.

This impressive 2 3/4" sterling silver cuff studded with 30 amethyst cabs was hallmarked c. 1940 by Manuel Altamirano, senior silversmith in Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Interior length measures 5 1/2" end to end. The gap opening is 1 1/2". Terminals measure 2 3/4" wide, center front is 2 1/2" wide. Weight 79 grams. The bracelet is in beautiful condition. A fine Chinese snuff bottle made from Carnelian, well hollowed. One side carved in relief with a bird on a rock beneath a bat, the backside engraved with a ruyi scepter. The stopper is made from white jadeit with a green spot and a bone spoon. Condition: the stopper eventually not original, traces of usage. Dimension: c. 6.2 cm high.

A great, 950 sterling silver cuff bracelet by Haroldo Burle Marx with a large bezel set 'Forma Livre' opaque black carved stone.

Marked 950 and BURLE MARX on the inside. Measures 6 3/4" around with an opening of 1 1/4". Measures 1" at the widest. Weighs 104 gr.

Fine condition. There are some minor surface scratches to the finish. There is a slight separation at the underside of the bezel but the stone is stable.
