Kangxi style, but probably early 1800s

This vase is painted in green, yellow, turquoise and black enamel on a pale aubergine background, depicting various dignitary figures in a garden setting. The interior is fully glazed white, having some minor pitting and small iron specks in the glaze. The base is unglazed with areas of light orange re-oxidation from the firing, and the fine white paste is visible around the perimeter. There is a spurious Zhengde mark in black enamel on the shoulder. ...

A fine and very rare pair of monochrome rouleau shaped porcelain vases with apple green lustrous glaze; the base and interior are glazed white. There are old collector's labels to the base. These items were made in China, in the late 17th or early 18th Century, during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 13cm (5inches)high.

A fine Chinese snuff bottle made from Carnelian, well hollowed. One side carved in relief with a bird on a rock beneath a bat, the backside engraved with a ruyi scepter. The stopper is made from white jadeit with a green spot and a bone spoon. Condition: the stopper eventually not original, traces of usage. Dimension: c. 6.2 cm high.

A thick-walled censer, shaped like an urn with “Heaven soaring” handles, standing on a three legged base. Both censer and base have been polished in the past but are now achieving a decent patina. The censer fits the base perfectly. The base has an interesting mark. 19th century.

Approximately 19 cm diameter, 22 cm high (on stand). In good condition overall with only some signs of use on the belly of the censer to report. The censer and stand weigh 4.3 kg.

A massive bronze (copper tin alloy) vase cast in Han dynasty Hu shape and with Han style Taotie mask handles. The archaistic style decoration is an amalgam of Shang and Zhou dynasty motifs. These consist of upper and lower bands depicting stylized dragons and a central band of large Taotie ("monster"} masks. All are reserved against a flattened Leiwen (cloud) daiper ground. Late 19c Chinese Blackwood or possibly Zitan wood brush pot in the classic style with smooth sides and a raised ring at mouth and bottom having 3 low standing low profile feet with drain hole in center bottom of pot. Carved from a single piece of wood, it still retains its original plug which is easily removed for drainage. In excellent condition commensurate with age, it measures 4-5/8" high x 4-1/8" diameter.

A fine Arita blue & white porcelain flower vase to be mounted on a wall, kakehana. 18th century.

The flower vase is heavily moulded with a leaping Chinese Lion or karashishi in a landscape of rocks and Tree Peonies, a classic subject in Japanese art known as “Botan-ni-Shishi”, an auspicious subject.

This old kakehana was manufactured in Arita in the mid Edo period, probably for the home market.

A wood water basin was nicely carved in shape of a lotus leaf with a lotus pond.
It was preserved in very good condition by nice brownish patina.
Some of the seeds in the lotus pond were still movable when some were sticked but nothing is missing.

A large rosewood, huanghuali brush pot, bitong of simple cylindrical form with thick walls and the base with an inset plug. The wood grain has particularly nice patterns, with a few 'ghost eyes', and a wonderful deep honey-brown patina. H 16 x 16,4 cm Diameter Late Ming/ early Qing Dynasty.
