This large Buddha is approx. 250 years old and is carved of one piece of old DARK wood. It came from a well known antique dealer in Bejing, China. The spoils of time, the cracks, the leavings of colour and the signs of age give a valuabel proof of its authenticity.

A fine bear climbing a rocky ledge decorates this large bronze vase. It bears an impressed mark, untranslated, on the base. The patina is medium brown, the condition is excellent. Height 14.5", Diameter 10"

This tripod censer is raised on three animal-masked feet that support its large, rounded body. The rim is decorated with a key fret design, and the body has ten lappets composed of stylized mask and key fret designs all in low relief. It retains its original brown patina overall with a deep greenish gray interior from use. Good condition.

A Kangxi period very large baluster- shaped jar and cover, decorated in blue and white with the body showing 36 panels each enclosing a composition of butterflies amongst leafy peony sprays. The borders also reflect a floral image whilst the cover repeats the themes of the panels. A small Japanese mimikuchi shaped vase, with spiral design, used to hold the burn incense sticks. The burner is about 3 7/8" tall x 4" in diameter and dates to the turn of the Century. The condition is excellent/perfect, and it has been polished. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

DESCRIPTION: A beautifully mounted Chinese roof tile of a Ming warrior seated upon a horse. The bearded soldier, his right hand on his hip, sits erect upon his amber horse which stands on the curved tile base. This earthenware tile has been decorated in a sancai glaze of predominately green and amber colors. A thick-walled censer, shaped like an urn with “Heaven soaring” handles, standing on a three legged base. Both censer and base have been polished in the past but are now achieving a decent patina. The censer fits the base perfectly. The base has an interesting mark. 19th century.

Approximately 19 cm diameter, 22 cm high (on stand). In good condition overall with only some signs of use on the belly of the censer to report. The censer and stand weigh 4.3 kg.

A massive bronze (copper tin alloy) vase cast in Han dynasty Hu shape and with Han style Taotie mask handles. The archaistic style decoration is an amalgam of Shang and Zhou dynasty motifs.
