A wonderfully designed and crafted pair of hanging pave diamond earrings, set with 300 full-cut diamonds, with the approximate total weight of 3.25Ct. The top of the earrings are round half domes with a post in the back. The elongated tear drop shaped bottom parts move, and give the diamonds even more sparkle. The setting is 14Kt yellow gold with openwork in the back. The total length of the earrings is 1 5/8”.

These authentic and extraordinarily RARE, hand-forged, wrought iron, Slave Ship Ankle Shackles were de-accessioned from a private collection. Ankle shackles such as these were used to restrain and imprison kidnapped Africans below decks in the slaver ships' holds during what is known as the ‘Middle Passage’, the brutal voyage endured by captured Africans from the West Coast of Africa to enslavement in the Americas- the second portion of what was known as the transatlantic slave trade.

This is an exceedingly rare calligraphy on hand-made paper by famous Kyoto artist Tokuriki Tomikichiro. He was best known for his prints, but was originally trained as a painter. It is delicately brushed on Japanese hand made paper (24.2 cm x 21 cm), a bit smaller than shikishi size, and much thinner. Two edges are deckled. It is inscribed “Close Friend” (知音). Japanese Meiji to Showa period oval form ikebana basket (hanakago) hand-woven from reddish bamboo with natural gnarled wood branches incorporated. Four strips rise from each side of the shoulder and are twisted together to form the high loop handle. Round mouth and base. 18” high with handle (9 1/4" high excluding handle); about 10” diameter. EXTREMELY RARE: Large and very substantial(weighs 20 troy oz.) sterling OPEN serving bowl hand made by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1931. Beautifully hand hammered, this piece measures 11" by 7" by 2 1/2" high. It has a rounded bottom and sides with beautiful handles. The sides are rounded inward and will not accept a top. This is a really pretty royal Ruby red 8 3/4 inch high Pineapple Flower Vase made by Anchor Hocking for their Fire King line.
