A superb quality bronze buddha from Thailand, 15th-16th. century AD.

The Buddha stands erect with his right hand raised in abhaya mudra and his left gracefully extended alongside his body. He is standing on a tall and very elaborate bronze lotus throne, perhaps slightly later from the 18th. century. It fits it perfectly.

A famille rose enameled porcelain plate decorated with dragons, phoenix, crane, butterflies and other motifs on coral-red ground, a six character red enamel "Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi" mark is on the bottom. This plate was one of the party wares with similar designs made for Emperor Guangxu's wedding in 1888. 19th century shakudo Japanese sword tsuba for tanto with raised and inlaid decoration of a dragon flying along its rim among wispy clouds, all on finely textured ground called nanako, which means “fish-eggs” as it resembles fine rows of caviar. Shakudo (an alloy typically consisting of 96% copper and 4% gold) body, superb clever design, extraordinary crisp work, in excellent condition. Height 2 3/16 inches.

An intriguing and extremely rare Late Shan bronze opium weight of a U tail Hamsa bird c. 1800, but without any kind of ridges or spikes to ether neck or head!

The weight can be classified along with the later Shan bronze weights with hexagonal bases (See Gear group 1+2), but not published in this beautiful bird form. Nice official style, so this is perhaps a Prototype.

There is a faint fading part, but overall it is in very good condition. On the far right is the name and date of the orderer for this noren. There is a family crest of the house. This is a Qing dynasty porcelain bee hive shaped water pot. It is sometimes referred to taibo zun or qizhao (chicken coop) in Chinese. The only difference for this piece is that this bee hive water pot does not have a neck with a small mouth. The domed shaped body has a countersunk base which is unglazed exposing the fine white colour porcelain. The pokka dot glazing makes the water pot glazing quite unusual and possibly a scarce item.
