Museum quality ancient Han dynasty, 206 BC – 220 AD, lead green deep dish from Luoyang, Henan Province. Excellent patina with the original silvering left intact on the rim of the dish. Carved from gray schist and retaining most of the neck, this head appears to have once been part of a larger relief carving. The back of the head was probably attached to a larger stone background and was later chiseled off. The hair is wavy and the lips are bow shaped. There are no apparent cracks or repairs to the stone, but the lower left ear shows some small loss. Acquired in 1980 from the estate of a history professor who who traveled extensively and collected antiques. ...

This is a very fine and attractive Mt Fuji wireless cloisonne box. It actually looks very similar to a Mt Fuji Sosuke tray we once had. It is not signed butthe artist is most likely Ando or Gonda. The Box measures 5 1/4 by 4 inches and s 2 3/8 inches tall. The box is beautiful and perfect except for some odd tool marks on the inner rim of the lid.
