A rare pair of Chinese cloisonne enamel 'holy water' bottles, Qianlong/Jiaqing, c. 1800. Height 23 cms. Iron-red decorated porcelain bottles of this shape were made in the Qianlong reign as gifts to Tibetan monks. In cloisonne, however, they are much rarer. The only pair to have come on the market in recent times were sold at Christie's New York, 18.9.2014, for USD 23,750. A single example was sold in Christie's Paris, 8.6.2010, lot 242.

It depicts an older man wearing a cowled garment, sitting on a mound of rocks, and warming his hands over a brazier. A beautifully painted William Reid coffee cup with a large floral group and several smaller ones. Loop handle. The paste and glaze combination gives this cup a very distinct greenish gray appearance, not seen in other factories. A Pair of lobed dinner plates 9 3/8 inches (23.8 cm) diameter with a dentil gilt edge and overall sprig decoration. The cornflower sprigs are primarily blue and green with a touch of red. Both plates have the crossed torches in underglaze blue. The factory, Locre, Russinger, Pouyat is called Locre or sometime La Courtille. It was active from 1773-1824.

A beautiful and well executed Dr. Wall Wall First Period Worcester tankard of rare size and pristine condition. This pattern, named the "Telephone Box", is derived from the Chinese, and is one of those designed specifically for upright pieces. It also is one of the very few patterns that occur both on polychrome and underglaze blue. It features two single figures and two groups of two figures each.

Made of red pottery, covered with a turquoise glaze and black decorations. H. 30 cm. The foot is very wide because this lamp was placed on the sand in the desert. Condition: minor damage to the cup, glaze chips, a firing crack in the foot.

A silver form porcelain teapot with the vented knop on the lid and the pattern number, “N 195” in red enamel on the base. This pattern is known as the “knitting wool” pattern. 5 ¾ (14.6 cm) inches tall, 9 3/8 inches (23.8 cm) across the handle and spout.

Condition: excellent. A tiny rough spot on the lip of the spout might be a tiny glaze chip or it could be a very small firing loss.

I think this form is one of the most pleasing for late 18th century teapots.

An example of “Kenjo” Imari presentation ware, having high quality enamel decoration in reds, green, aubergine and gilding surrounding underglaze cobalt blue. There is a fine, lightly stained crackle to the interior and exterior base. This piece was made for domestic use in Japan and was not intended for export. Overall good condition. Purchased in Kyoto ca. 1974.

Indonesian Minahasa Tribe ( South Sulawesi ) Belt Buckle ( 17th - 19th centuries or earlyer ) copper - brass alloy, decorated with holy birds at centre surrounded by plants and a fries with peanuts. L : 16 cm. It is one of a collection of alltogether 14 rare pieces to be sold now.

This charming tea bowl is decorated with a Chinoiserie scene with three figures, one of them holding a bird. It dates from around 1775, and exemplifies the motifs that were so popular in that period. The interior has an iron-red border and sprig at the bottom of the bowl.

White stone has a very pale celadon tinge and some translucency where the carving is thin. The curving shaft terminating in a dragon’s head has a smaller chilong winding its way toward the larger dragon’s head. The underside is carved with a button for attachment.
