Twin cylindrical horizontal rim lugs, incised grooves to the outer rim. Although wheel-made the rim is slightly askew.

Rare handmade askos of lenticular body and truncated conical neck.
The lip around the spout is shaped as an oversized disc. Its back was bent by the potter to create space for an unusual ring handle of square cross-section.
Decorated with orange and purplish black bands alternating with very thin fillets and diamond patterns.
The front of the neck with chevrons, one of them spiky, both flanked by a branch or shrub...
Large terracotta bull with prominent horns and a pronounced hump on the back. The holes for the wheel axles on the integrated base are indicative of a child's toy.
Also the small hole at the very front of the base, which was used to attach a pull cord.

Probably a handle for a chest or a door. In the form of the face of a lion depicted in high relief, holding a ring in the gaping jaws, with protruding tongue, incised whiskers and fur, and radiating mane. Mounted. From an old New Jersey collection. Purchased on the NY art market in the early 1980s.
This is a museum quality example of a very rare word type from the ancient middle East.It has a hollow cast, mushroom shaped pommel and a heavy, crescent shaped guard. The blade is long and heavy with several blood grooves cast into it. There are no signs of repair or restoration to this amazing piece of ancient history. The overall length of this exquisite piece is 55 cm.

Ancient Roman, circa. 1st - 3rd century A.D. Bronze bust of Jupiter. Depicted from the shoulders up, with well-defined facial details hair, eyes, thick beard and muscular neck and shoulders. Likely was part of a handle from a Roman vessel.

CONDITION: Signs of usage and wear with nice olive-green glossy patina.

A beautifully carved sculpture of a lady in an erotic pose, Gandharan, ca. 1st.-5th. century AD.
Clearly inspired by classical greek and roman art. She is holding her longs strands of hair and wearing garments that exposes her naked shoulder and arm. Archictorial piece, impresive size. Some remnants of pinkish pigments still on the surface. Mounted to a metal base.

Oval vessel with bow handle between spout and perforated animal head, Vicús, ca. 100 - 500 AD.
Fine condition vessel from the rather illusive Vicus culture contemporary with the more well-known Moche culture. The vessel misses a very small pseudy lug handle at one side, othervise completely intact and unrepaired with some light weathering at edge of the spout.

Group Lot of Roman Bronze Fragments, great for a beginning collector or someone interested in how ancient bronze patinas .
This is a bronze dagger from Luristan dating to roughly 800 BC. It measures 310mm in length and weighs 107 grams. There are no repairs and the only damage appears to be on the "rams horn" decorated pommel. The bronze has a nice untouched patina. The metal is stable and solid.
A very large amulet of the Wedjat or Wadjet type,
'The Eye of Ra', Late period, 660-332 BC.
Nicely glazed in three differnet colors and with horisontically drilled loop.
Size: 53 mm. long and 33 mm. tall.
Condition: About Very Fine, basically intact but with minor losses and wear to the glaze.
