The octagonal vessel with a screw top features and an embellished ring handle. As something unique, it also has a spout with screw lid, hanging in a chain, fastened to the body with a small bird-shaped fitting...

Rare antique 17th century Polish armored cavalry "Pancerni," a large combat lance head made of hand forged steel.

DETAILS: The leaf-shaped blade with a double-edged, tapered blade with a sharp point is reinforced on one side with a central rib with hollowed sides and flattened on the opposite side.

The integral ferrule with the conical base extending to the flattened tang is pierced on the end with a rectangular hole for the peg that fastens the blade to the wooden haft...

This particular piece is a very unique, stone prayer tablet. It is difficult to date but stylistically could be as early as the Five Dynasties period (907-960 AD). These tablets were often found in conjunction with the ceramic offering vessels from Yunnan. The tablets would accompany the offering vessels and would sometimes comprise an enclosure for the offering vessels. (See trocadero item number 797164 for an example of the offering vessel)...

The cannon very beautiful and possible once burried. With splendid old chesnut or mahogany patina with a dusting of green to the back. Fully functionable cannon made with a bore hole of 16-17 mm.

Lost wax cast bronze Christ. Probably original wooden cross. The fine quality sculpture is certainly the work of a good artist. It would be interesting and profitable to find out who it is. I don't know much about European art but the sculptor who thought of this bead of skin above the nail hole of the feet was not a simple craftsman. Beautiful cast , neat scraper finish. A beautiful engraved vessel with dotted decoration on the body and with a central medallion engraved with CFS:BRD and below the dating 1701. A beautiful early 17th century silk floss textile embroidered with a variety of flowers in a panoply of colors. The central section has larger and more elaborate examples, while the borders have smaller meandering flora. Most probably of Italian origin.

The condition is quite fine, and the dimensions are 67" by 16". This wonderful piece has been part of my collection for 25 years and has not been previously shown or offered.

This is a bronze miniature figure of Sri-Lakshmi, a Hindu goddess from 16th-18th century India. The figure stands in a sensual tribhanga pose on a round base over a square plinth. Her right arm is extended, and her left arm is raised with a lotus blossom.

She wears a long dhoti with incised foliate patterns and an elaborate pendant belt.

She is also adorned with jewelry and a breast band, and her hair is piled into a high chignon.

A lovely and very rare matching set of massive dishes, made with the Habsburg Coat Of Arms and portraits of Albert (Albrecht VII), Archduke of Austria, 13 November 1559 – 13 July 1621 and Isabella Clara Eugenia, sovereign of the Habsburg Netherlands between 1598 and 1621.

Very rare antique, 17th century (circa 1650 A.D.) Polish Winged Hussar massive sword (broadsword) Pałasz (pallasch) with a karabela hilt and a semi-closed guard composed of a carved horn grip, secured to the tang of the blade with three rivets with domed pewter heads (one rivet has a silver washer).

A Dutch Delft hand painted wall tile depicting a rabbit pushing off on its hind legs in motion to the left with its ears and tail high. The animal is surrounded by a circle of a wavy line with dots in the wave troughs. Flowers fill the corners. It is 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) square about ½ inch (1.2 cm) tall. The red clay sides are beveled so that the back is slightly smaller than the front. This style of decoration was used in the 2nd quarter of the 17th century.

Authentic antique, Russian (The Grand Duchy of Moscow), a rare version of the Orthodox Byzantine double-sided cast bronze pectoral cross pendant, circa 15th- 16th century AD. The obverse, cast in relief, has the image of Christ crucified on the cross; under the arms are letters of the Greek alphabet, OV and MP, an abbreviation of the Greek Mater Theos (Mother of God).

Very large bronze skillet or pan, dating to the late renaissance period in the fine gothic style. A round hollow handle to take a wooden pole. Legs shortened at time of use to make it suitable for a stove, instead of open fire.

The figure is of a military attendant, wearing a hat and carrying a book or an instrument in his hands. He wears a blue robe with turqoise sleaves. Thick and very beautyful glaze. The unglazed areas are covered with white and black pigmented colors.

Poesy rings were popular in England and France during the 16th through the 17th centuries as lover's gifts. The quotations were often from courtship stories and are usually inscribed on the inner surface of the ring as is the case in this one. This ring amusingly reads "A virtuous Wife Preferreth Life". Box in black lacquered wood inlaid with mother-of-pearl, golden details. The decor is composed of birds among plants and shrubs. The birds are very active, the one in the center tends to what appears to be a stylized egg in a nest? Probably a meaning. The designs are simple but harmonious and very elegant. The inlay work is empirical but the materials used are solide and they have stood the test of time well indeed the lacquer has not peeled off and the mother-of-pearl is still well maintained. ...

A superb quality and extremely large for type decorative brass dish or Baptismal dish, as it's also called, Nuremburg, 16th.-17th. century.

This marvelous piece of ancient pottery is an offering vessel, sometimes referred to as a "spirit jar", from roughly the Five Dynasties period (907-960 AD) of Classic Imperial China. This interesting little ceramic figure is purportedly from the Majapahit period (1293-1500)of Eastern Java. Possibly a religious figure, it is barefoot and has tribal head-dress and flowing robes. There does appear to be a light colored glaze underneath the surface dirt which I have not attempted to remove or clean. The statue is just under 20 cm in height and weighs 444 grams. Small Christ in cast bronze, traces of gilding. French medieval 13th century. The bronze has a beautiful old patina, there is very little gilding left. He wears a loincloth and an Egyptian headdress. A stylized flower appears to be drawn on his belly. It was mounted on a gilded wooden frame probably in the 18th century. Height of Christ alone 95mm. This piece is a fantastic specimen of Southeast Asian art from the 12-13th century Khmer culture. It was cleaned several years ago by the previous owner but does retain some of its original patina. It appears to have been crafted in two pieces and is cast from either a copper or possibly a silver alloy - though I have not had it tested. It is just under 19 cm tall and weighs 335 grams.

A finely decorated octagonal jar with lid, made for carrying fat for musket bullits, late 17th. cent.

A rare box fully inscribed with fine caligraphy from the Coran and still with remnants of the original 300-400 years old content inside. The box has a lid and the hinges and lock are in intact workable condition. Silver is testing more than .800, though there's no silver marks.

A lovely specimen of the sought after renaissance pewter jugs, this one manifactured in 1653 on the basis of the pewter touch marks of the inside lid.

A very early renaissance type European pewter jug in excellent condition with clear marks and engravings. On the front a crowned H and G inside a heart all inside a wreath and below ACK, so this would have been inscribed for a wedding between H and G in 1700 and the donator was probably ACK.
