A highly attractive massive finger ring with a high round bezel, with elaborate cross design, Byzantine, c. 10th. cent.

Interesting hexagonal shape of the ring itself.

Condition: Extremely fine for this type, of exceptionally metal, very sharp and wearable...

A rare and very beautiful QING DYNASTY CHINESE low relief carved wedding box, depicting 2 Phoenix birds on the handle, the head of a dragon at the lock, 8 auspicious carved symbols at the base as well as metal fittings. Size: height 34 cm x width 31 cm.

A very beautiful QING DYNASTY CHINESE ANTIQUE wedding box, with a carved handle depicting figures and a metal latch/fitting around the base. Good condition overall considering the age. Gorgeous color! Size: height 33 cm x width 34 cm.

An exceptional Antique PATTANI THAI KRIS,19th Century, with fine waving steel blade, a carved wooden king fisher bird's head handle and golden metal button at the bottom of the handle. An original wooden sheath, total length 21". Good condition overall.

A huge collection of 19 flint blades and flakes dating to around 5th-4th mill B.C. Some could also be earlier since blades like these were used through both Mesolithic and Neolithic periods. They were easy to make and very sharp and efficient tools.

Many from this collection still have sharp edges, and could be used today.

Sizes up to ca. 10-12 cm.

Condition: A very fine collection with nice patinas.

A beautiful Chinese pottery tomb figure of a female rider / Attendant on horseback holding a string instrument in her hand. The figure dates to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.

The figure is finely glazed in cobalt blue and turqoise colors. Pigmented colours in red, white and black.

She has an elaborate high headdress and was made with many finely painted details, high quality.

Size: c. 37 cm. high and 28 cm...

Height approximately 16.5 cm. In good condition.

Ancient North Mesopotamian or Anatolian stamp seal of the round type, 4th.- early 3rd. millenium type of the later Ubaid / Uruk period.

Very attractive large seal in smooth dark serpentine and carved with a stylized zoomorphic depiction.

Size: 30 mm...

The large seal of the hemispheric form and probably Parthian or early Sasanian, so like 0-500 AD, could be earlier though.

Done in a fantastic stone type - black with a spiders web of lighter colours. Attractive in hand. The shape of this stamp seal was probably invented by the Neo-Babylonians and continuued to be made in the near east until the end of the Sasanian period. The base is engraved with an unidentified cruciform symbol.

Wonderful potting, excellent face, beautiful use of turquoise and aubergine colored glazes. Great patina, compressed dust on the surface, few spots of losses to the glaze, the body stamped with 2 characters on the bottom. Height 2.5 inches.

Very rare Raku Kichizaemon IV Ichinyu (1640-1696) black Raku tea bowl.
Comes with an old signed box.

Having become Raku master at the age of 16, Ichinyu was significantly influenced by his father Donyu who died at 58. In general his works are powerful, large in scale but with thin surfaces and bold incisions made with spatula.

In later years he appeared to revert to the style of Chojiro, making compact tea bowls with smaller dimensions and few spatula marks...

A wonderful example of an original Japanese Armored Safe chest. Constructed of hand selected and quartered sawn keyaki (zalkova hardwood) and hand forged iron hardware / fittings. Thick hinged door opens to reveal 4 individual drawers with secret compartment located under the largest (bottom) drawer. Internal drawers are made of original light kiri (paulownia) wood.

A large Japanese transom temple carving framed in black lacquer with gold leaf edging. Temple ranma is masterful made up of a single slab of Keyeki (zelkova) hardwood, carefully carved to reveal there central blossoming lotus flowers along scrolling vines.
