Magnificent 18th Century Japanese Edo Period Kakiemon Porcelain Incense Burner with Daruma, the founder of Zen Buddhism. Delicately painted designs in vivid and varied colors. A wonderfully rendered Daruma adorns the cover where the smoke magically appears out of his mouth when incense is burned. A very rare and remarkable piece in very fine condition. 5.5w x 4.5h x 4d, 14w x 11.5h x 10 cm.

Ornate Mexcian Bridle with brass tacks & rivets circa 1890. Decorated, triangular harness leather on the browband, and circular, decorative harness leather attachments. The bridle measures 19 1/4" long x 9 1/2" wide.

An antique Japanese 2 section Nihon Matsu Kasane (stacking) Tansu made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Original natural Urushi lacquer finish. Hand forged iron hardware with lock plates that feature a quarter moon with a butterfly and Chrysanthemum knobs, Warabite handles with upper Pine tree and lower Plum Blossom Atari, and side handles on both sections. Constructed using Japanese straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nails...

Early Persian glazed pottery bowl; of wide footed form, the interior painted with colorful design of a bird with fruit, the exterior with band of linear patterning, probably Circa 12th century period. Size; Diameter of bowl is 8 1/8 inches. Condition Report; Very old professional repairs typical to pottery items from this era.

Kesa was originally made from old scraps of material donated to the priests. The scraps became finer and quite luxious in time. People who gave to Buddhist institutions were often keen to give very expensive items, so some fabulous kesas were created from wonderful silk brocades. This also could mean that the wealthier temples end up collecting the better fabrics or are able to send out for the expensive custom made kesas...

A large and unusual late Qing famille rose stem cup, dating from the Guangxu reign. Marks around the stem and on the inside foot reveals it was custom-made as a sacrificial vessel for a 'Li' family's ancestral altar...

A rare early Ming dynasty Yongle longquan celadon large serving dish, rounded side with deep center and glazed base, dish decorated with rare large carved flower motif at the center, covered with good green glaze.
Dish is in good condition no crack, no chip, no restoration, porcelain with high ping sound with finger tip.

A late Song - Early Yuan Qingbai bowl, covered with nice bluish tone glaze, silky with fine glaze, rim and foot ring unglazed. Very thin and light potted and nice bell like tone when tapped. Very good condition with firing crack and fint glaze hairline on the back. Size: 11 cm diameter and 3 cm height

An antique Japanese Kannon Biraki Tansu (wedding kimono chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. The top section has two doors with a special lock from the inside that secures the doors.
