A nice intact carved pendant in green-brown stone, with the stone aiming to imitate rolled papyrus.
The scroll is widest at the top, where there is a neck below the for suspension. The base tapers into a softened point.

Porcelain decorated with standing phoenix and floral on the center and four flower sprays on the cavetto, unglazed base. PERIOD : late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 19 cm wide. CONDITION: very good, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations. Good sound when tapping with finger tips.
Antique Japanese small tansu from the Sakata region, with original red lacquer top and sides and black lacquer front. The top and bottom drawer are decorated by large iron lock plates, incised with a bamboo forest, blossoming cherry trees, and small flying birds. The corner hardware on the face of each drawer also show floral motifs.

A finely painted water colour , with gold leaf overlay, depicting a scene from the 11th Century classic "The Tale of Genji" written by noblewoman and lady-in-waiting Murasaki Shikibu. This item was made in Japan in the 19th Century during either the late Edo or the Meiji period (1868-1911).
Condition: there is very minor "foxing" to the paper which probably predates the framing of this picture during the 1920s or 1930s.

The lotus flowers range in different stages of blossoming, a Buddhist symbol for the different stages of enlightenment.
