A choice pair of decorative pottery figures of House Attendants, dating to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644.
The figures are dressed in dark blue and turquoise robes and carry high hats on their heads.
They both appear to be carriers of their masters carriage. They are placed on square plints. Heads and boots with pigmented colors.
Height: c. 22-23 cm.

Antique Japanese 2-section isho tansu (chest on chest for clothing), made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. Top section has two large drawers and the lower section has two large drawers and a safe box in the lower right hand side. The safe is opened by a hinged door to reveal two small interior drawers. Iron hardware with unusual daikon (radish) shaped lock plates. Lovely foliated iron corner bracing and safe door hardware...

Chinese antique box, carved of a beautiful golden hardwood, very heavy. Small cabinet doors open to a compartment with a small open area in the center and two rows of 3 drawers each on either side. It is carved on all sides with scrolling vines and bats. The front is minutely carved and has inlay of green and very pale green and white jade including more little bats. Republic Period (early 20th century).

Wooden ornament, carved in relief on wood, representing Hindu god Kartikeya, with six heads, holding a spear in his right hand, riding his peacock, in a niche, flanked by two other niches in which are shown his two wives, Devasena and Valli. This Hell Gap point is made from beautiful agatized petrified wood. Found in northern Colorado. It is 2 1/8" long. The very end of the base has been snapped off in ancient times, but it does not detract.

Chinese Export Porcelain Cafe Au Lait and Blue and White Saucer, Dish, Ca. 1770-1800, 4 1/4" diameter, 7/8" high, underglaze Blue decoration of the river and pagoda scenery inside three(3) separate Cartouches continued with floral branches, large Peony flower in the center round ring. Underneath the top is glazed with cafe Au Lait, coffee color, and white glaze finish inside bottom rim. The condition is good.
Chinese silk coat in a deep navy blue. Its edges are lined with blue-grey panels with silver thread designs. The mandarin collar has embroidered silk flowers in pastels, with forbidden stitching in the center. There are multiple silk roundels featuring cranes gazing upwards, surrounded by reeds and flowers. Framed and well protected, very good condition.
