Tall glazed skyphos with swelling wall, the lower part tapers towards a torus foot.
The horseshoe-shaped handles attached just below the slightly flared rim.
Resting surface and underside reserved; the bottom with applied red wash. Extraordinary silvery glaze.

This is a Japanese antique BORO rag indigo dye Blue check pattern cotton fabric . It is an old handspun natural indigo dye cotton that is very comfortable to the touch. There are light stains and small holes and repairs. It sews 2 panels together. The vintage old fabrics used many times have become so beautiful and in themselves a wonderful art. Ancient egyptian fayence shabti of Gemshu 11,3cm

Late Period, 26th to 30th Dynasty c. 664-332 B.C

Inscription: "Gm-Sw ms, Hr-m-Axt" means "Gemshu, born by, Horemakhet" Both Gemshu "the one whom the god Shu has found" and Horemakhet "Horus is at the horizon" are personal names typical for the Late period. On personal names formed in the same manner as Gemshu see.

A delightful female idol carved from bone. The face is dominated by huge, round eyes and a small nose and mouth. Incised lines form bands around the head, neck, and waist, female genitals outlined.

Size: 5,2 cm.

A large pendant (?) usage unknown, but perhaps verification or ownership, Byzantine, 5th.-7th. century AD.

A lead pendant (amulet?) in form of a round disc with bar and monogram and greek letters.
