A Chinese rock crystal carving of a mythical beast called a Qilin. Resembling a fu dog, the creature is a chimera mixed with a lion, a deer, a dragon, and sometimes other animals. The Qilin is said to appear with the arrival and the passing of a sage or high ruler.

Late Qing hand carved turquoise snuff bottle with bok choy and radish along with an ant, cicada, grasshopper and cricket. The workmanship and details is superbly done including the insects, having very fine details to the legs, antennae and bodies. Presented on a rosewood stand, this snuff bottle has a wonderful color and patina and is one of the coolest bug type carved snuff bottles that we have encountered in some time. Beautiful blue colored Chinese cloisonné tripod censor decorated with motifs of lotus, clouds, scrolling vines, chrysanthemums, with a gilt bronze fu dog on the top cover, stylized cloud handles on sides, gold gilt over bronze. Old collectors mark inside lid.

It is 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) tall by 2.1 inches (5.3 cm) wide. The box is 1.2 inches (3.1 cm) tall by 5.6 inches (14.3 cm) long and 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) wide. The medal is 48.3 gram. The total weights is 0.4 Lb.

Breathtaking antique snuff bottle from China, with a mosaic-like inlaid body, carving of a feline on front and back, and a small berry made from coral. The kanji on its bottom reads "Tong zhi nian xing", which means "Made during the year of Tongzhi". Very bright and beautiful with extremely detailed carving. 19th century Size: 2.5" tall, 1.75" wide

There are a total of eight signs, each with a different "saying" having to do with well wishes. Due to the age of the calligraphy, and the vagueres of the old Chinese language, accurate translations have not been possible for each sign. Each sign is carved out of wood with raised wooden characters and inlayed with MOP flakes. Each is 21 inches tall and roughly 4.5 inches wide. A great small vase with chinese porcelain blossom trees in white on a black ground. The black glaze is a thick layer with "oil on water" effect. A greenish tone showing it's way to make the black enamels with a last layer of green glaze. Measurement: hight 19 cm = 7.5 in (with lid) Condition: Lid possibly not original. Lid with minor frittering. Vase with on ship at the rim. Further no restorations or damage.

This 17th century (Ming Dynasty) blue and white Swatow ware jar is 13” high and 9 ¾” wide. There are four small round loops on the top. The blue glaze artwork depicts a fierce dragon flying through clouds. Judging from its shape, it might have been a wine container at that time. There is one small old repair on the spout. It is in excellent condition.
