A rare northern Song dynasty Yaozhou bowl with duck motif, rounded side with conical shape and glazed base, bowl decorated with ducks and water flower motif, a very similar bowl illustrated in "Song dynasty ceramics" book by Rose Kerr, collection of Victoria and Albert museum.
Bowl is in very good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration.

Shou Lao is the Chinese deity of longevity and is also called Shou Xing, Shou Hsing, and Nan Ji Xian Weng. Legend holds that Shou Lao began as a star in the southern constellation Argo, and he is sometime referred to as the Old Man of the South Pole. He is easily recognizable by his over sized forehead, representing wisdom, and his extra long beard, which is meant to literally demonstrate a long life...

Porcelain decorated with standing phoenix and floral on the center and four flower sprays on the cavetto, unglazed base. PERIOD : late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 19 cm wide. CONDITION: very good, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations. Good sound when tapping with finger tips.

A Black-Glazed Bowl, Song Dynasty. Covered with a brown-black glaze and crackle glaze. Few small glaze lost and chips at the base. Very rarely. Diameter approximately 14.4 cm and height approximately 6.7 cm. Good condition.

Late 1700s

The base has a “min yao” Yongzheng seal mark in overglaze iron-red enamel, but the cup probably dates to the later 18th Century. The decoration is in overglaze enamels and the rim has a faint brownish wash. Although the piece is in very good condition-- no chips, cracks or restoration, the glaze has numerous tiny iron specks, particularly visible on the interior. The footring displays the very white paste often seen in 18th Century wares...

Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) pottery figure of a civil official dressed in a long robe tied at the waist with his arms clasped in front of his chest and the long sleeves hanging down at the sides. The tips of his shoes emerge from the bottom of the pantaloons. He wears an official’s headdress. His facial details are nicely rendered on a flesh colored ground. Considerable pigment remains. Though sourced from northern China, this antique powder flask is most likely Chinese ethnic minority from the southern regions. There are 3 flasks for carrying gun powder. Used rifle cartridges are used both as stoppers and bullets are held in the shaped spacers between the powder flasks. It was made by shaping and then sewing 2 pieces of heavy leather (probably elephant hide)together.

This is a Chinese apple-green porcelain vase, 19th century, unmarked, of bottle form, with with a richly bright green glaze, excellent crazing; rim chip; 8 " high.

This rural Mongolian bucket is made from lemon wood and was used daily to draw water from the local village well. Truely an ethnographic relic with original iron fittings, and evidence of constant use and old repairs. It is both large and heavy. The diameter of the bucket is 18" and the bucket alone is 14" deep, add another 11" for the handle and iron toggle fitting. The weight is approx 15 lbs. Originally made about 250 yrs ago and probably used constantly for a couple of centuries.
