A beautiful replica of the famous Bronze Running Horse or the Galloping Horse. The original horse was made durning the Han Dynasty. Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain oval shape Barber's Bowl, 12 1/2" wide, 9 1/2" deep, 2 3/8" high, early 1820's, with overglaze Famille Rose flowers in the center inside the deep bowl. All the decorations are done overglaze enamel on the orange peel like surface and highlighted with gold. There are two(2) holes on each side on the bottom rim area, to put the cords through the holes to hang on the wall. The condition is good.

Late Ming Dynasty, early 1600s

Decorated in a wu cai palette of overglaze enamels. There is some wear to the enamels from long use, but overall in good condition. The stand and lid are from the late 19th Century / early 20th Century. Purchased in Japan in the 1970s, where it had been used for the tea ceremony as a container for powdered green tea.

Description:

A Longquan Li-type censer was in golden-greenish glaze.
Well mold in good profile, the censer was supported by three slender feet.
It was preserved nicely except one portion of glazing imperfection was found on the side.
Foggy and introspective sheen was yielded on the surface due to long time of age.

Date: S. Song/Yuan periods, 12th/13th century.
