A rare and unusual turquoise glazed, pottery gu form altar vase. Its moulded decoration depicts two dragons amongst clouds on the upper section ; on the waist are two ruyi bands and on the unglazed lower section are two cash symbols and what appears to be a double gourd. A definitely extremely rare dish like this normally only can be found in Museum-collections. A quite similar dish, just for example, can be found in the University of Sussex - collection ( Jameelcentre, Ashmolean ). Dark-brown stoneware-body with green-crackled glaze. Produced at Longquan- or Ge-ware kiln. Long-Quan, Chekiang- or Zhejiang province. Song - Yuan Dynasty 13th - 14th century. Diameter : 13,8 cm. Condition : Perfect.

Probably 1800s

This two-handles stoneware vase's body is covered in a creamy slip glaze which is carved through with a peony design to reveal the light brown clay body. The entire vase except for the foot is covered in a very thin clear glaze enriching the tone of both slip and body. The light brown clay body is exposed on the footring and base. A small amount of burial earth adheres to the foot and base. It is in good condition.

The mayority of Longquan Guan type dishes do have the common Longquan paste, which we do know from the ordinary Longquan Celadon pieces. This Guan type dish is so rare, because it has an dark grey body which has turned reddish-brown where exposed in the firing. Ming Dynasty, Ca. 1500s

This bowl is covered overall in an attractive bluish green celadon glaze except for the footring, which shows the buff-toned porcelaneous stoneware body. The glaze is somewhat unevenly applied to the exterior. The interior has a glaze bubble that popped in the firing. Acquired in the early 1980s from an antiques dealer in Alexandria, VA.

This is another antique wine bottle of the Song Dynasty from our collection.

This large wine bottle is about 1000 years old and has been made in the Ji Kiln. It has a dark glazed body with an some unglazed dragon / phoenix decoration.

It is in good condition. There are only some little spoils of time and a little scratch ( please watch photos )...

Description: This is a vey finely potted yingqing or qingbai meiping from the Song dynasty. The body is incised with a beautifully free hand drawing of lotus flower with scrolling foliages.

Dimension: The height is 17cm and the dimeter at the widest part of the body is 11cm.

Condition: In good condition with no repair, restoration, chip or crack. Minor abrasion, especially at the mouth (picture 5)and very minor abrasion on the body.

A extremely rare Southern Song ( 1127 – 1279 ) Guan ware, Guanyao washer. The well potted body in a very nice shape covered with a grayish-sea-green glaze with a highly attractive crackle. The light grey ware burnt brown in the firing. Guan´, the official ware of the southern Song court, is perhaps the most admired and desirable of all Chinese ceramics. This Ge glazed dish is at least from the early Qing Dynasty but most probably the piece is older. Please compare the shape and the unglazed base of the piece with similar Ge glazed pieces from the early Ming and the Yuan Dynasty. An Yixing stoneware teapot bearing a rare seal "Li Bang Shui Ji" - which might be a retailers mark. There is a single hole inside the spout. This item was made in China during the Qing dynasty (1644-1908),possibly during the reign of either the Jiaqing or Daoguang emperors (1796-1850).
