This very well carved ivory horse is an early 20th century product. It depicts the reclining horse with turquoise and coral on its saddle and blanket. It is 7” long, 2 ½” wide and 3 3/8” high. Aside from two hair line cracks on the bottom due to its age, it is in great condition.

Antique Chinese rank badge made with lovely varying shades of blue silk, depicting a dual-tailed paradise flycatcher with red silk legs and beak, sitting atop rolling wave motifs; Flowers surround the bird including a center peony with forbidden stitches; The entire badge bordered by oriental designs in beige, blue, and gold silk. An interesting kesi (or kossu) panel portraying a scene where children are engaged in wrestling while two courtly women watch the children. A pavilion is set in the background along with scrolling clouds. Age: Republic Period Size: height 38.5" width 10.5"

A rare and very finely enamelled small vase. On the base is the iron red hall mark - Ju ren tang zhi - "Made for the hall where one dwells in benevolence". The mark is often attributed to the brief reign of the Honxian emperor (circa 1915- 1916) but this item was probably made a little later. Condition - excellent, no damages and no restoration...

Chinese porcelain figure of Lan Caihe, one of the Eight Immortals in Chinese culture or Taoism. Lan is usually depicted carrying a bamboo flower basket as seen here. Lan's gender is always shown in an androgynous manner. The figure's earholes, nostrils, and mouth are pierced through. The bright enamel robes are accented in gilt pigment. Antique Chinese pair of yellow glaze bowls with incised flying dragons and clouds of smoke along its outer edges, and a single dragon within double rings on the inside center. Wonderful crackling in the glaze is most apparent near the rim and the foot of each bowl. The bottom of each bowl has a Xuande period mark, but most likely dates from the 19th century Ching Dynasty. Size: 3.25" height, 6.5" diameter

This early 20th century carved ivory Buddha statue (Japanese called Hotai) is 6 ¼ inches tall, 3 ¾ inches wide and 3 ¼ inches in depth. The whole statue was carved from one solid ivory tusk. The left hand of the Buddha is holding a small fan; his right hand is resting on his knee. He wears a twisted necklace and earrings and has a big smile on his face. This is not like a traditional Buddha image; it is more of an off center imagination from the artist...

This early 20th century carved ivory statue is 8 inches tall (with base, it is 9 inches tall), 4 ½ inches wide and 2 inches thick. The scene depicts three ladies chatting in front of a pine tree. There is a mountain surrounded by clouds and a palace on the top of the mountain. This statue is carved from three assembled pieces of ivory. It is in good condition.
