Unusual late Qing Dynasty (late 19th century to 1911) Chinese scholar’s bronze seal with a sea horse grip and round base. Wonderful quality casting, beautiful patina. The bottom is carved with two sunken characters that can be translated as WINE TERRACE, red seal paste in the grooves. Wonderful scholar’s object. Height 2 3/4 inches, base 5/8 inches round.

Substantial sized Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period tobacco pipe with bamboo stem, horn (probably ox-horn) mouth piece, and baitong (paktong, or white brass) bowl and shank. The pipe measures 23” (61cm) in length and the bamboo stem is about 1” (2 to 2 ½cm) wide. Late 19th to early 20th century. Clearly well used but in very good overall condition. A tapered porcelain snuff bottle featuring a darling scene of 5 Chinese boys at play in which one child can be seen pulling an animal pull toy. Decorated in famille rose enamels the bottle comes with its original cap and bone spoon. The cap is green jade, and red glass the color of red coral. There are two opposing chips on the red section. Cannot tell if that was in the manufacture or not. The snuff bottle is in excellent condition, no cracks, no hairlines, no chips...
