Japanese Blue and White Transfer ware Porcelain Square cut corner deep Platter, 12" square, 1 1/2" high, pine tree, mountain and river design in the center, and two different shade of transfer blue design of trees, foliage and butterflies on the wide border. One shallow flake chip 3/4" wide underneath the rim and some old frits on the corner of the dish, and scratches in the glaze on top of the dish.

Meiji / Taisho (1910s) lacquered wood kogo (box for incense during tea ceremony), its top decorated with low relief depiction of an elephant, its trunk raised. 19th century Japanese iron mae-kanagu (tobacco pouch clasp fitting) depicting God of Abundance Daikoku resting by a bale of rice, his hammer in his hands. Iron is notoriously difficult to work with. 19th century Japanese silver and Satsuma obidome (sash ornament) with various blooming flowers with stems and leaves. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, it is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Excellent quality painting, numerous color and gold enamels, in excellent condition, metal fitting on the back for an obi cord. Back is stamped with a single character GIN (silver). Diameter 1.48 inches.
