He was born in name of Okada family, when he was young man he wanted to become as the painter so he became the student of Tanomura Chokunyu in Osaka and studied Japanese painting and Nanga painting but he gave up as the painter because of his illness...

A Japanese Arita porcelain Kakiemon style dish, circa 1720~1750 The square dish with indented corners, the rim with a deep kuchibeni brown rim, the centre with a gobenka motif. The cavetto is decorated with flowers and grasses amongst rocks. Tiny touches of coloured enamels have been applied to the design, a style first seen in the early 18th century. Within the foot-rim can be found a six-character imitation of a Chinese Ming Chenghua reign mark ‘Daimin Seika Nensei’...

Unusual Japanese wood carving of a figure, appearing to be a foreign man, who wields an axe head. The figure is seated, kneeling upon a jagged throne. The patina of the carving shows remnants of old lacquer.

Japanese small porcelain blue and white water dropper, of a rectangular form with four very short legs. The top of the piece features lingzhi, lotus, and tight scrolling motifs with floral medallions over waves on its sides.

Elegantly decorated vase with a geometric design of 24 facets. Meiji period, late 19th century. Sparsely painted with airy flower sprigs, leaving large parts of the cream-coloured crackle-glazed surface undecorated. The mouth rim with the mon (emblem) of the Itagaki (?) family. Impressed three character mark to the base and painted signature in red. Height "6¼ / 16 cm. Condition: fine.

Antique Japanese Buddhist Temple lantern made of gilt copper with a wooden interior armature and iron handle. This six sided lantern is decorated all over with ornate pierced karakusa, scrolling arabesque filigree. Both top and bottom of the lantern have six trapezoidal friezes, each with a three dimensional medallion in it's center depicting alternating crests of blossoms and Buddhist symbols. The interior is lined with it's original paper...

A very large pair of hardwood transom / temple architectural elements, elaborately carved with charming motifs of squirrels eating from grape vines. The carvings are deeply recessed with raised outside edges of a scrolling form. Realistic grape vines and leaves continue along the underside of each transom. Very heavy. Japanese antique silk katsugi hitoe kimono Meiji era(1868-1910).Pattern of the freehand drawing dyeing of the scenery of a mandarin duck and the snowy Japanese garden. It has a few stains, but there is no damage.They are not disturbing, and as a whole it is in very good condition.It display it in the room in addition to the collection of your antique, and I recommend it to you to materials such as the patchwork.

A scholar and a young man sit in a boat, the scholar has an open book, the young man, a pole. Between them is a handled box. A jagged out cropping of rock rises from the water where stunted trees stretch their branch over the water...
