An ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1450 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is a beautiful piece of blue steatite, 3/8” long (10 mm), an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and to help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

A large 4 sided jar in sea-green glass, having a wide ridged strap handle and folded lip. The base is decorated with a segmented circle in the center of which is another circle. Smaller circles are at each corner of the base. This is NOT a reproduction, but an original period piece.

The jar is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or repairs. It is 9 1/2" tall, and 3 1/4" on each side of the square base.

The alabaster features a nice marbled pattern and looks brilliant under the light. The table would have originally been used to hold various offerings such as unguents and food to be used in the after life. The table is very large and measures 14.5" in diameter and forms an impressive display...

A fine pair of Roman bronze seal rings with engraved bezels, 1st.-3rd. century AD.

A fine pair of wearable rings, one with standing winged Lion, and the other with a springing lion engraved. Fine imprints.

Size: 19-20 mm. in ringsize, both with oval round bezels and high shoulders as typical for these male roman rings.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this wonderfully detailed funerary cone from a known tomb in the Theban Necropolis. This is cone number 576 from tomb number TT 295 for the scribe Paroy, also known as Djehutymose. The cone is wonderfully inscribed and detailed with clear glyphs. Djeyhutymose was a scribe under Thuthmosis IV or Amenhotep III during the New Kingdom in Egypt. The cone itself measures 3 1/8" in diameter and 2.5" deep...
