A 12.75" late 17th century Kakiemon vase and cover decorated in iron-red, green, yellow and black enamels on underglaze blue, the body with a profusion of chrysanthemum, peony and cherry blossoms and foliage emerging from rockwork, the shoulder with alternate bands of lappets, hanabishi and karakusa, the neck and the foot with a continuous band of lappets, the cover similarly decorated.

18th Century Edo Period Saga Ningyo of a young boy holding a rooster in one hand and a scepter in the other. His head bobs while his tongue goes in and out. Carved entirely of wood, his robes are built up with pigments in a technique called 'moriage'. He has a gorgeous blue outer robe decorated with foliate scroll slightly raised in relief. His inner robes are brown with shaped roundels of geometric patterns and cloud shapes...

A well patinated 16th/17th Century bronze Gu form vase cast in archaic Shang dynasty style. This is from the collection of the late Reverend Victor Farmer. Condition - the interior base has been replaced or re-glued and there are the usual 'production' repairs - made at the time of manufacture. This item was probably made during the reign of the Wanli emperor - 1573 to 1619...

A gilt bronze belt hook unusually cast with a bat's head to the centre and with a dragon head terminal. An unusual beaker or gu shaped vase simply and strikingly decorated with wucai overglaze enamels. The central section is of a 'rope twist' form possibly copying turned wood. This item was made for export to Europe during the reign of the Kangxi emperor - 1662 to 1722. Condition - the neck has been reduced by 3.5 cm and there is a light 3cm hairline running from the rim. No further damages and no restoration...

A small, well patinated, Yixing stoneware teapot made in China circa 1700 to 1730 during either the Kangxi or Yongzheng reigns. There are no makers or owners seal marks. Condition - excellent. One minute base chip - no cracks and no resoration...
