Mexican Pre Columbian Tlatilco Terracotta Head. Rare fragment from an early culture c 1200bc-600bc. Tlatilco is noted in particular for its high quality pottery pieces, many featuring Olmec iconography. Tlatilco figures were known for their elaborate hair styles. This Bust has the classic eyes a large detailed hair style neck piece and double spool earrings and large breasts . Size 2.25" by 1.5"

Finely carved ivory Chinese napkin ring with 3 landscape carvings and an animal in each scene. Each is deeply carved, giving depth to the foliage. The 4th cartouche is left blank for monogramming. In excellent condition, it measures 1 1/8" high by 2" diameter. Circa 1900.

Interesting and rare depiction of a woman and three men standing side by side on this slightly oval stamp which is probably a stylized scarab form with curved upperside. Carved in green stone with a faint cross on the back. The seal can probably be dating to the 3rd.-early 2nd. millenium BC.

Size: 22 mm x 20 mm. and 11 mm. tall.

Chinese Han dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) pottery jar with splayed neck and everted rim covered overall with an iridescent green lead glaze. Characteristic kiln support remnants are on the base and mouth. 5 1/2" high x about 5” diameter. Very good overall condition. Three kiln kisses are on the side of the jar. This jar is from an Arizona collection. It was purchased in 1996 from Lam’s Gallery in Hong Kong.

Interesting cylinder seal in white stone with fine drill-carving of figures and an alter, Neo-Assyrian provinces, early 1st. mill. BC.

Nicely engraved but with some uncleaned earthern deposits that disturb the imprint a bit, so wit would improve when cleaned.

25 precolumbian spindle whorls of clay, large sizes, in variety of color, shapes, with embossed and incised decoration, from regions in Mexico to South America. Measure 1 1/2" diameter in larger beads, some are deep, one is round. Clay spindle whorls are found throughout the world, and those of the precolumbian regions have similar styles, shapes and decoration, utilizing varying colors of clay...

A nice Nyonya bowl with butterflies and floral design. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Nyonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: W.13cm. H. 5cm. Condition: No repairs. Some wear and ageing.

18th century netsuke of a dog with its front paws on a large ball, all on a flat base. Strong early piece, wonderful face, beautiful wear and patina, a lot of compressed dust in crevices, of characteristic 18th century triangular section, old age lines. Height 1 7/16 inches.

A Japanese totai ceramic plate with butterflies on a turquoise ground. Signed on bottom Kinkozan and in very good condition without any damage, no hairlines, no chips, it measures 7.25 inches diameter. Meiji Era. We have a 2nd plate in same butterfly pattern available.

Unusual 19th Century Japanese Imari fluted edged dish with an asymmetrical design featuring a basket of fruit and 3 butterflies. In excellent condition, it measures about 10 inches in diameter. Dates late 1800, Meiji Era.

19th century miniature Hirado porcelain sculpture of a reclining karako (Chinese boy) leaning on his right elbow and holding a fan in his left hand. Excellent crisp modeling with incised details - see his superb dreamy face, well defined hand and clothing details. Unusual feature - the unglazed flat bottom is well incised with the continuation of the design...

A Fukagawa porcelain 8 7/8 inch soup bowl. Iris decoration from Chuji Fukagawa's own 19th century design book. Blue underglaze and red, yellow and gold overglaze enamel decoration. Mt. Fuji mark and Fukagawa Sei inside the foot ring. Late Meiji or early Taisho. Good condition. Priced for each soup bowl, there were five available in good condition when listed. 1920s chosen matsu (Korean pine wood) netsuke of a rooster. Perfectly captured essence of the creature, carved in characteristic Hida school style with clever use of wood colors and structure to add to the charm of the piece. Excellent sense of volume, eyes are inlaid with black horn, beautiful patina. Length 1.76 inches.
