A full width drawer on the top most portion, three medium drawers on the left opposite a hinged safe box door (with key) with 3 interior drawers. The lower portion of the tansu has two shallow drawers positioned side-by-side over another full-width drawer on the bottom. Iron hardware includes square drawer pulls, unusual lock plates on the drawers and safe box with cross bracing...

Antique Japanese 6-panel folding screen, or "byobu", with a wonderful painted ocean scene and pine trees over a gold leaf background. Mild damage is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the gorgeous paintings. 19th century SIze: 66.75" height, 145" length

Rare Chinese form, this Chinese chalice is from the late Qing Dynasty period. The dome shaped lid is topped with a gold finial. The surface of the piece is covered with cloisonne pattern. There is a floral design in black and brown which is offset against a background filled with a fretwork pattern. The chalice with its matching lid stands 9 inches tall.

The metal bottom of the chalice is stamped with the word China. This dates the piece between 1890 and 1914. It was the U.S...

A rare find of Longquan celadon dish with finely potted, decorated with a small unglazed biscuit turtle firing to be reddish tone, covered overall with olive green glazed under crackle glaze. Condition is very good with no any restoration, no any chip and no crack as well. Southern Song Dynasty Longquan ware. Diameter: 13 cm and Height: 4 cm.

Covered with celadon glaze to the foot, decorated with iron spots on the exterior, unglazed base. Diameter = 8 cm, height = 6,5 cm. Condition : a firing crack, no chips, hairlines and free from restoratyion.

19th century kagamibuta (“mirror lid”) netsuke with metal top depiction a tiger on rocks by the sea and a dragon in flight among swirling clouds about to engage in a fight. Very nice pairing of most powerful Zodiac animals, bronze disc with gilding, tiger is inlaid with shakudo (alloy of copper and gold) with characteristic black patination resembling lacquer. Excellent crisp work, some wear to gilding on the dragon, marine material bowl with typical lines on the outside...

A finely potted six sun sized dish decorated with a traveller clutching his hat and leaning into a cold wind before a snow covered Mount Fuji. The design would appear to be derived from a print of travellers in the Mishima pass, one of the 36 views of Mount Fuji. The reverse painted with a Karakusa arabesque with a single spur mark to the base. The dish dates to the late Edo period and the middle of the 19th century. The dish measures 18.2cm in diameter and stands 3.4cm high at the rim...

This is a wonderful Ando signed Gonda cloisonne vase. The vase is combination very complex wireless and silver wire work, with a hint of moriage enamel. The lower flowering lily pad is moriage. The vase stands 12 1/4 inches tall and is in excellent condition.
