AN OLD JAPANESE PAINTING OF MONJU BOSATSU.
Monju Bosatsu - Manjushri Bodhisattva of Wisdom. The painting appears to have great age and even though not in the best of condition it still has a compelling presence. It is painted on a composite sheet of thin paper, the joins can be seen as angled lines across the sheet and mounted as a kakemono. The painting is signed with a single seal impression in gold.
The painted area is approximately 106cm by 40.5cm...
A beautiful 18th C. Chinese nephrite jade thumb archers ring. It has a hair line crack inside the ring, but it did not go to outside. D:2cm
Ming blue and white large dish decorated with flowers and bird. 48cm diameter. conditions with one hairline and one chipped (not missing a part) reattach. (please see last three picture). crackle glazed.
A good Song dynasty Qingbai bluish white large covered box, rounded side with ribbing at the body suggested petal and unglazed base, there is a flower motif at the center, box covered with good bluish white glaze.
Box is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, the cover box is stuck can not be open and there is some water inside the box, found from a river, good glaze.

A Song - Yuan dynasty longquan celadon bluish green twin fish dish, rounded side with flattened rim and glazed base, dish decorated with twin fish motif at the center and raised flower petal motif at exterior, covered with green glaze.
dish is in good condition with shallow chip at outer rim, faint crack line at the rim, no restoration, crackled at glaze surface.

A late Qing dynasty cloisonne enamel box, probably made in China during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration...
A heavy 18th Century double walled cup - the outer wall carved with reticulated decoration and painted with small famille rose flowers. This item was made in China during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). Condition there is a hairline to the inner wall which does not continue to the outside (please see enlargements 6 and 7) and there is very extensive wear to the gilding; there are no chips and there has been no restoration. 7cm (2.8inches) high; 7.7cm (3inches)diameter...

This is sashiko Indigo dye cotton noragi hanten at the Meiji era(1868-1912). There is a repair mark in the sleeve and the back. However, it is very good overall. I recommend it for your collection.

This set of dolls was made for Japanese Boy’s Day. It comes from one of Japanese folklores, Peach Boy, Momotaro. Momo is translated to peach and Taro (ta-ro-o) is a common name for boys. The writing on the label (on the box) is "Wakana Ningyo", the date of purchase is the 10th years of Taisho (1921), 92 years ago! The condition is excellent (old but new condition) - the set appears newer than it actually is in the photos...
