Antique Chinese stone seal, the top carved with a phoenix and a dragon flying around a central octagonal medallion. The overall seal is in the shape of an octagon. It measures 2" in diameter, 1" tall.
Antique pair of Chinese porcelain bowls, beautifully painted with three bats in yellow, red and blue, in the center of each bowl is a red longevity symbol, around the inside rim of each bowl is three more red longevity symbols and branches with peaches, the outside of each bowl is decorated with flowers, each is signed in red on the bottom with a six character mark early 19th century.
Size of each: 5 5/8" wide diameter.
This antique tea caddy still has some tea in it, but the tea is so old it cannot be identified by smell. I would not try using it. The bamboo veneer is carved on each of the 6 sides, some scenes and some calligraphy. The calligraphy is old Chinese so translation is...not easily possible.
Oversize (almost 18" tall) double-gourd shaped Kinkozan Satsuma vase, circa 1880. This outstanding vase is signed (appears to read: "Dai Nihon--Kinkozan Tsukuru"). This vase was repaired early in its career with four metal staples. An extremely rare form. Displays a wonderful tension between the formal middle apron and the zen-like top and bottom.

Japanese antique small small tansu with locking bar (bo). The bar has wrought iron fittings with a working locking mechanism. The bar functioned to keep the drawers closed during transportation. The wood is finished with a lacquered surface. Edo period, circa 1860. It measures 26.75" high, 25" wide, 14.5" deep .

This antique Chinese civil rank badge has the golden goose representing 4th rank. Embroidered using brick stitch this badge is has a fret background,key border and is decorated with bats, turtles and flowers. Curiously the sun is missing but the badge is old and still has the remnants of a few threads which were used to sew it to the front of the robe. The badge has traditional blue silk lining and is in excellent condition...
This is a very fine old Chinese shallow bowl made in the popular Butterfly pattern. It is in very good condition with minor wear and a tiny flea bite to the glaze on the rim. It measures 9 1/2 inches across and 1 1/2 inches deep.

A beautiful sapphire blue Qianlong period (1736-1795) small wasted and broad shouldered jar. The cobalt blue mimics the old heap and pile effect of the earlier Ming dynasty. The glaze has a silkly smooth texture typical of early 18th C. porcelains. The white patch at the neck area is a clay slip that was partially glazed and was not scored because of a slight depression in the affected area...

A small porcelain iron red overglaze water coup decorated with dragons set among scrolling clouds. The iron red style was developed in the Ming dynasty and in the Qing various styles were expanded. Additionally, with the continuity of the literati tradition, various objects were being produced and one was the water coup which is essential in producing ink for calligraphy. The water coup contains an inscription reading Da qing xiangfeng nian xin. (1851-1861).

A intricately done Chinese fencai with motif of dragons scrolling vines, and peonies. Fine brushes made from different materials with caps to cover the tip were often part of a scholar literati's desk and were called the four treasures of the scholar's studio.
