A playful Dragon rises from this genuine stone base, a sculpture perfect for the coming year of the Dragon by popular contemporary artist Sugitani Keizo. 18 x 15 x 25 cm (7-1/2 x 6 x 10 inches) and is in excellent condition, directly from the artist. The carved melon shape agate snuff bottle is 2 ¾ inches tall, 1½ inches wide and a little bit more than 1 inch thick. The color is from beige to burgundy and it is very well hollowed. Very fine Iga mimitsuki style hanaire by Furutani Michio with some vivid bidoro ash across the surface and rather expressive pottery marks made while the clay was still wet.
