Liquid white gold glaze spills out of the parched earth clay of this tea bowl by Ogawa Machiko enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Wan and Circa( 2021). Evocative blue decorated henko bottle vase with fluid brush decoration and sgrafitto decoration prominently signed; SEIRAN. The cobalt decoration sits on an almost ash style glaze with spots of blushed areas, similar to Hagi pottery. I have not been able to find out anything about the potter, but the brushwork and use of space suggests a full time potter, used to working in this particular style.
