Rare and beautiful 970 silver and aventurine bracelet by Taxco silversmith Antonio Pineda.This is a wonderful mid-century design, one that I have not seen before. Measuring 7" aroung in the inside when closed, it is 1" wide in the center and gradually tapers to the back. Hinged and opens and closes in the back with a push in clasp and original safety chain. Weighing 73 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed with the Antonio crown, eagle 208 JCL Taxco and 970 as shown in the photo...

This beautiful piece is a brooch as well as a pendant, c. 1960. It is by Finn Jensen. The enamel is colorful with blues, pinks, etc. It is sterling vermeil and depicts a lovely, Norwegian, winter scene. Its diameter is 1 5/8". The back is marked NORWAY STERLING 925 and has the SV maker's mark for Finn Jensen. It is in excellent condition.

A wonderful pair of sterling silver modernist earrings by the renowned African American jeweler, Art Smith. These screw back earrings measure 2 5/8" long and 5/8" at the widest. An exquisite and very fine 18K yellow gold jewel by Henry Dunay, one of the greatest American jewelers of the latter 20th century. The piece comprises a 32" necklace of domed, oval gold links joined by polished arched connectors. The outer surfaces of the links are stippled in a roughly textured finish that contrast nicely with the arched connectors. A Nestor Mexico sterling Mosaico Azteca pin and earrings set. This great looking Mexican sterling silver pin and matching screwback earrings is by Nestor, a respected designer in (probably) the 1950s. This set consists of the 2-5/8 x 1-5/8" pin and the matching 7/8" across earrings. Each is in metales casados (mixed metals) including brass, silver and copper with black enamel, with a mosaico azteca ground (crushed azurite and malachite stones)...

A grotesque mask dangles from this silver key ring, suspended by a short piece of sturdy cable chain. The mask and chain are likely Mexican, evoking a grimacing face with bared teeth and hanging tongue similar to various masks of the ancient Americas. It is constructed of several elements, such as a headpiece, tongue and overhanging lip, soldered onto the the flat face; eyes and nose are incised. The key ring displays some wear commensurate with use as well as indecipherable markings...

Set with faux pearls, decorated with stamped textured and geometric designs. Each earring features modern hooked wires and illegible European marks on the bales. They measure 1 inch long.

This fine sterling ring is a size 5. It has an oval shape and consists of 14 sawtooth, bezel-set, turquoise cabs, surrounding the central, oval, turquoise stone: sawtooth, bezel-set, as well. The artist's work is fantastic. The band has nice, Navajo stamp work. It is marked STERLING with the maker's mark of a conjoined JP. It has good heft and is in excellent condition.

A beautiful pair of 18K yellow gold and diamond earrings by Gucci. The earrings are designed in a sort of “knitted” ropetwist pattern, the tops sprinkled with round single cut diamonds. The stones are graded as I color and SI1 clarity. Both earrings are marked “18Ct Italy” and signed “Gucci”. The earrings retain their original posts and omega clips, and are presented in their original fitted Gucci box.

These cuff links measure 5/8" x 3/4" x 1/4". They display actual sea horses in seagrass / sea weed. Dwelling in shallow, saltwater, they are actually this small size. The cuff links have a white background, making the marine fish very easy to see. They are under convex plastic and set in gold tone.

This wonderful brooch exhibits a foliate, flowering branch motif. Its 3 circular, petals are slightly convex with striations to central buds. The curved stems are adorned with the same buds / balls (just a bit larger). This piece measures 1 5/8" x 1 1/4" x 1/4". The back is marked STERLING with the Carl - Art (CA with an arrow through it) maker's mark: Carl-Art, Inc. Providence, Rhode Island). This pin is circa 1950's or 60's. It has good heft and is in excellent condition.

The bracelet has a triangular profile that stands well out from the surface of the wrist and a masterfully constructed so that it is flexible, but appears rigid when being worn. A long sterling silver modernist pendant by Tane, Mexico with the 26" original chain. Tane was known as 'The Tiffany of Mexico.'

This pendant measures 4" long and 2 1/4" at the widest. Marked TANE, Sterling, Mexico and with an 'A' inside a triangle, probably for the silversmith.

The chain has Tane's unusual interlocking clasp which holds securely.

The pendant has some surface scratches, tarnish and shows some wear. Weighs 50gr.

An exceptional gilt filigree scarab bracelet marked on the box clasp LORAN SIM. The company was in production during the 50's-60's in Providence, RI. One link is attached to the filigree by a small thread.(It's very hard to discern, though one may want to have a jeweler resolder it.See photo with blue scarab.)Please refer to the carnelian scarab for internal cracks. The real stone scarabs measure 3/4" x 5/8"; the bracelet 7.5" x 1".
