Early hand made eye/eyelash sterling and matrix turquoise earrings by famous modernist Sam Kramer, NYC, c.1955. Each matrix turquoise comes from a different mine - one is greenish turquoise with black material (right) and the other is blue turquoise with brown(left) material. Obviously hand made, with each earring charmingly differently shaped than the other. They each measure approx. 1 1/8" long by 3/4"-1" wide. Joseff of Hollywood was better known as jeweler maker for the stars. This necklace is composed of five discs with raised bulldogs on each. The center disc has a larger dog. The brass discs are attached to a brass link chain. Joseff designed jewelry from the Deco era into the 1950's.

Very evocative of the Arts and Crafts style but most probably made in the 1940s, this elegant sterling silver ring is adorned with a pearlescent purple moonglow lucite “stone”. This type of luxurious plastic was very popular in the 1940s and extensively used in the world of costume jewelry so I think it’s an exciting surprise to find a sterling ring set with it. Please note the detail in the layers of leaves that form the shoulders, the tiny lozenges and linear designs enhancing the bezel...

This bird carrying this Crosby lapel watch has tons of rhinestones and enameling. The watch ticks but it will not run all day.Some of the rhinestones have darkened with age.

This Los Castillo is one designed by Margot Van Voorhies when married to Don Antonio Castillo that unhooks and also doubles as a brooch. The matching chain and the drop is repousse and hand carved on top. The drop / brooch measures 3.75 inches tall with a width at it's widest point of 2 1/8th inches. There is a generous wearable length of 17 in. The early hallmarked Los Castillo designs are the best and this is one of those that is seldom found. Properly hallmarked with no damage or repairs...
