This is properly signed and is one of the Pineda's featured in the book SILVER SEDUCTION. The weight is 95 grams of 970 pure silver. The presence is rich and sleek. Hard to find and in a condition with no issues. All stones are without chips. This was difficult to photograph as the "mirrored" reflections blur the lines...
Jewelry hosting carved stone hearts in silver settings was very popular in the Mexican Deco period. Teased out of jasper and agate and oftentimes even dyed calcite, the hearts are unfailingly curvaceous as if pulsing with life, their sculpturality shamelessly inviting the touch.
