Margot Van Voorhies was definitely the Queen of the Mexican Silver Renaissance. After her divorce from Antonio Castillo she began her Taller Margot De Taxco and created the most wondrous of jewels. I am listing another stunning Mexican Silver clamper bracelet produced by Gerardo Lopez who was renown for beautiful vintage repousse in Taxco, Mexico. Made of thick silver weighing 71 grams and having a 3 inch tall presence this bracelet fits most with a 2 3/8th inch inner diameter. Bears a deep natural patina. No dents or damage and also has a strong spring. Definitely a collectors jewel.

A fine Italian Etruscan style 18K gold fob charm set with amethysts and pearls. The charm is shaped as a crown. The gold surfaces are enhanced with twisted wire and rosette motifs. The oval amethysts have nice medium color intensity and the pearls have good luster. The charm bears the maker’s mark of Figli di Vittoria Franconeri di Lidia (Florence).

These unmarked Mexican earrings feature lacy wirework on a half-moon-shaped frame. They test strongly for silver and sit perpendicular to the ear. They date from the 1950s and are secured by kidney wires with hooks. They measure 1 3/8 inches long by ¾ inch wide. Weight: 7 grams total

We are offering an Antonio Pineda bracelet with pearl and amethyst set inside the tulip shaped links. The amethyst used are a very translucent, fine quality cabachon and what you see inside the stone is being picked up around it in reflection. The length is 7in. wearable and it is one inch tall. Properly hallmarked as shown with a weight of 102 grams heavy. This is such a beautiful piece and one that is seldom seen. No damage of any kind.

Margot de Taxco, Margot van Voorhies Carr shows off sheer genius in this 5127 design. Rare and 1.25in. wide make you stop and take a longer look. Heavy at approximately 70 grams of repousse swirls and beads which make an abstract image of swans swimming. Anything that looks like a dent is reflection or a spot of tarnish. This is an incredibly clean bracelet.

Vintage pearl and sterling silver bracelet designed and signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist artist Antonio Pineda. Bracelet measures 6 1/4" long X 5/8" wide. The beautiful surface condition is a result of a rolled gold-plating process used by the Newark, NJ, firm of Krementz & Company. Hattie Carnegie's green pendant necklace and dangle earrings is a dazzling show stopper. The rich green colors of the prong set rhinestones are enhanced by the crisp sparkle of the clear prong set rhinestones. Note the unusual shape of the dangle clip earrings. This magnificent Florenza pin with hanging maltese cross is 4" long x 2 1/2". This pin is hallmarked Florenza under the pin clasp. It is in fantastic condition.

A stunning cast sterling necklace with four amethyst arrowhead shaped carved stones. Measuring 16 1/2" (42 cm) long, the central sterling pieces are 1 1/2" (4.1 cm) x 1 1/8" (3.2 cm) and the two side pieces are 1 1/8" (3.2 cm) in each direction. The amethyst pieces measure 1 3/8" (3.9 cm) X 5/8" (2 cm), including the sterling caps. Beckmann sold in San Miguel de Allende from the late 1950's through the 1970's. This necklace exhibits a strong presence. A dark amethyst stone glows in strong light and has no chips, damage or cracks. The wearable is 16.5 inches and you can hook it in to any of the chain length to shorten. The silver is very thick and is a wonderful example of folk style repousse. Puffy and not exactly symmetrical is what makes the magic happen when you put this on. The drop is 4.5 inches across and 3 in. down. Just beautiful, LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Rare and magnificent 970 silver and obsidian rods bracelet by Taxco master silversmith Antonio Pineda. It is comprised of concave hinged silver links with a center rounded rod of obsidian. In certain light, the rods appear to be black, but upon closer look, in direct light, one can see the green/ brown sheen of the stone identifying it as obsidian...

This sparkling and colorful necklace/choker is beautiful. It is made of multifaceted, Aurora Borealis graduating, crystals. It is 16" long with a hook and chain closure marked LAGUNA. It is in nice condition.

This unique piece of jewelry dates back to the 1940's or early 1950's. The top is a pink and yellow gold geometric design broach that holds the rectangular watch. The watch has a pink face and marked "BLACK STARR & GORHAM". The movement is a 17 jewel GIRARD PERREGAUX. The watch is in working condition. Total weight of the watch with the movement is 9.4 grams. The safety clasp on the pin and the inside of the watch case are both marked 14Kt.

This beautiful bracelet is 7 1/8" long x 1/2" wide. It is made with turquoise and pearl stones, using fine wire: the signature look of some of Hobe pieces, strung together to a metal, chain-like frame. It is in goldtone and is in excellent condition. It is unsigned.

Spratling designed this eye catching "entwined hands" buckle in the late 1940's. Measuring 5" X 2 1/4" & weighing 49 grams the piece is in beautiful condition. The back loops will accommodate up to a 1 inch strap. The buckle can also be worn as a pendant. Spratling also designed a similar "hands" necklace. Hallmarks are WS 925. A later version, (c.1965) of this buckle appears on p. 147 of WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penny Morrill.

This stunning bracelet is composed of an applied cast floral layer on a plain, hinged bangle bracelet, with a secure tongue-and-groove clasp and security chain. The tongue bears French import marks that guarantee a silver content of at least .800, and probably dates anywhere from the 1930s to the 1950s. The bangle measures about ½ inch wide with an internal circumference of just under 7 inches. Gross weight: 28.4 grams
