A mid-century Los Castillo Mexican silver and stone inlay belt buckle, this is a piece out the workshop's "onix negro" series. I have said before that the specific technique is a challenging one both for the silversmith and the lapidary as the stone has to be cut exactly to the dimensions of the silver elements that will be inlaid in it...

A vintage modernist 830 silver pendant by the noted silversmith from Norway, A. K. Pettersen whose work is signed with a stylized AKP.

Made of 830 silver, which was widely used as a silver standard in Scandinavian countries, this pendant measures 1 1/2" across and 3 3/4" long including the fringe. Has what appears to be the original 23" chain. The pendant has four dangles for lots of movement.

This pin has heft and presence, with a compelling design by Uni David-Andersen for the David-Andersen workshop. It resembles lattice work in its construction, but the irregular lengths of the ribs give it a primitive feel. The pin has a secure roll-over clasp and measures 2 inches long by 5/8 inches wide. This gold tone brooch / pin is a great depiction of a large terrier, a Komondor, also known as Hungarian Komondor and/or Hungarian Sheepdog. I personally think it even looks like Sheepdog, a Wheaton Terrier, etc. It measures 1 1/8" from tail to snout x 1 1/8" tall. Regardless, it is in excellent condition and has a good heft. The back is marked NAPIER with the copyright symbol.

A large cabochon of Baltic amber with a deep, nicely distributed color is mounted within a sterling floral surround; the mounting has a closed back. The amber exhibits hardly any wear. The back has a working original rollover clasp as well as the maker’s mark of Niels Erik From of Denmark. The pin measures about 1 5/8 inches across.

This great brooch / pin / pendant has a diameter of 1 1/2". It is slightly convex. The turquoise stone is inlaid (not enamel), very nicely. The back is marked TAXCO 925 STERLING (blurry) in a circle with very blurry initials of silversmith in the middle. The eagle assay mark is number 3, very lightly stamped.

These great cuff links display a Modernist and American Studio design: textures, craters and "dimples." The face measures 7/8" x 3/4". They are circa 1950's - 1960's. They have hinged, bullet toggles and are in excellent condition.

This unusual sterling silver ring features a curved disc with applied molten strands of silver forming an organic dome. The inside of the disc exhibits a volcanic finish. The band is sturdy, and bears possibly a Danish mark of 925S, as well as an unidentified maker’s mark. The ring is a size 7. It measures 1 inch long, 1 inch wide, and about 1 1/8 inches high. This brooch was designed by Kenneth Jay Lane with many colored crystals in green, red, clear, light blue and a single dark blue diamond cut crystal at the top. It is hallmarked "KJL" . It is 1 3/4 x 2" in excellent condition.

Unique and audacious showpiece ring by Jens Asby of Copenhagen, Denmark, circa 1970s. The design is striking, as is all the work by this famed silversmith. The large, deep blue stone is held by an interesting bracket which is integral to the design. This open-ended sterling silver ring can be adjusted. An unusual modernist sterling silver ring with coiled silver wires by the firm Jens Peter Clausen Guðjónsson of Iceland. Signed JENS 925S, Hand Made and Iceland. Measures about a size 7. The top sits 5/8" high and measures about 1 1/4" across. Has a brutalist, asymmetrical feel. There is a small fracture on the bottom that looks original. This design really stands out! Great example of Scandinavian modernist design.

Modernist globular silver earrings by renown Finnish designer Liisa Vitali whose characteristics are pierced, cut-out shapes. The Leppäkerttu / Ladybug collection appeared around 1970. Together with the Pitsi / Lace series it belongs to Vitali’s most popular designs. Swedish import marks (three crowns in an oval and S) and 925. Diameter of the little globes: "3/5/ 1.5 cm. Condition: fine.

This "Starlight" cuff bracelet by Kenneth Jay Lane has a black enameled background with jeweled stars. This bracelet is February 1975.

This bracelet is 1 3/4" wide, 7" in circumference with a diameter of 2 1/8".

#38 Vintage Giorgio Armani Prive Wide Cuff Vintage Armani Couture wide bronze tone mesh cuff awash with giant, fiery ruby color stones. The cuff is 1 3/4" (5 cm) wide with a 2 1/2" (6.6 cm) interior diameter and a hair over 1" (3 cm) opening. The stones are all present and brilliant. From around 1980, the cuff is in excellent vintage condition.

This Joseff set is elegantly simple and simply elegant---and oh so wearable. It is done in the semi matte finish referred to as Russian gold. This finish is the one for which Joseff is known. The brooch is signed Joseff, an early signature later changed to Joseff of Hollywood. I believe this is a later set produced when the company reissued some early pieces. The brooch is 4 7/8" long, 3" wide. The clip earrings are 2 1/4" long and 1 3/4" wide. The brooch has the Joseff signature.

Here is the 1974 Sarah Coventry Limited Edition Partridge in a Pear Tree charm. It is the ever elusive charm from Coventry's Christmas charm Bracelet. It features the partridge sitting on a branch with 2 green glass pears. It is silvertone and has a diameter of 3/4". The back reads LIMITED EDITION 1974 and Sarah Coventry in script.
