For a few years around WWII and possibly up to 1950, Marcel Boucher had a special line of silver jewelry made in Mexico under the name "Parisina". I don't think we know which workshop produced those pieces or whether they were made by a number of different silversmiths. I can, however, say that Parisina jewelry ranges from the very light-weight to the chunkier, more substantial examples and that the same variety is also reflected in their designs...

14k rose gold and diamond screw back earrings. Approximately .40cttw of brilliant cut diamonds in solid 14k rose gold. The earrings measure approximately 1.5" long and .5" at their widest. They are stamped "14k" on the screw back finding and the bottom portion is articulated to move when worn. The overall weight of the pair is 15.9g. They are in excellent condition.

A nice pair of Edwardian doubled-sided 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces decorated in a combination of matte reserves flanked by polished foliate plaques. The design hints are the arrival of Art Deco. The “bowtie” connectors are decorated, as well, and are marked “14K”.

Fabulous sterling tufa cast bolo by Mission/Hopi Preston Monongye ( 1927-87 ). The central piece features a mythical being holding a staff and carrying what appears to be an abstract bundle that is comprised of ebony, turquoise and bone. The central piece measures 3 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide at the top and narrows to 1" at the bottom. The tips are 2 1/4" long. The bolo is hallmarked on the reverse with the peyote bird mark. The 6 millimeter cabochon emeralds in the center are prong set and each earring is decorated on the edge by six single-cut diamonds. A sturdily cast piece, this leaf pin is formed as seven fronds with incised veins that are enhanced by oxidation. It has a safety clasp and is marked sterling on the back. It measures 3 inches by 2 1/2 inches at its widest part.

This is a reverse painted pair of cuff links set in unmarked gold plate on sterling with a double sided racing scene depicting a jockey on horseback jumping a gate, finely hand painted enamel on mother of pearl encased in crystal, English. A fine shakudo stickpin mounted in 18K yellow gold enhanced with a ropetwist border. The shakudo plaque represents a geisha formally dressed in a gold-flowered kimono and with an elaborate hairdo complete with ribbons and blossoms. Shakudo elements such as these were transformed by European and American jewelers after the opening of Japan to Western trade in the 1850s. The mounting is 18K (tested and guaranteed) and the pinstem is 14K (marked).

This ring made by Erik Granit & Co of Finland has a sleek and modest design. The garnet is sawtooth-set. The shank is marked "E. GRANIT & Co DESIGN JEWELLRY." The other side is signed "EG" (stylized maker's mark), "925H," boat (for Helsinki), "R7" (for 1970) and "925 STERLING FINLAND." It is a size 6 and is in excellent condition.

Signed Los Castillo and constructed with thick silver weighing 84 grams. The repousse is beautifully fashioned with flowing curls and beaded sides and a dark natural patina. This clamper bracelet is design 250 with the artist being Margot Van Voorhies before her divorce to Antonio Castillo. The presence is stunning with a height of 2.5 inches. Fits most with an inner diameter of 2 3/8th inches. No dents, strong spring and no repairs. One of the very best from the Spratling era.

A vintage hand made sterling silver brooch with a swan motif by Carl Poul Petersen, the Canadian silversmith who signed his work with the stylized CPP.

He was born in Denmark, married Georg Jensen's daughter and apprenticed with him before moving to Montreal. He eventually opened his own workshop.
