A handsome late Victorian stick pin featuring a reverse-carved crystal depicting a bulldog. Essex crystals, especially those showing dogs and sporting subjects, were very popular during the last quarter of the 19th century. Round two-sided cuff links ringed with inlaid cobalt blue enamel in a scalloped decoration and a central engraved grid pattern. Go back in time with this beautiful bracelet. The focal point is an intricately engraved 14 karat Victorian box catch from the end of the 19th century. Two rows of curb chain sandwich a central row of a texturized fancy link chain. These 14 karat chains may be of the same age as the large clasp or may have been added later, in the 1920’s. The catch is engraved with the initials SGR and the whole bracelet measures approximately 7 ½ inches long.

An attractive 1950s 18K yellow gold brooch prong-set with round brilliant-cut chrysoprase. The stones are brighter green than usual—nearly an emerald color—and could easily be mistaken for emeralds except for their translucent quality. The gold setting is reminiscent of a cactus. The gold surfaces are nicely textured. The back retains the original pinstem and trombone clasp with French 18K gold hallmarks.

Circa mid-century, here is a rare find from Antonio Pineda. Extra-long dangle earrings with gorgeous smokey quartz gemstones. The almost pure 970 silver has a bamboo design, and the bezel-set stones have open-back settings to let the light shine through, playing up the exquisite bronze hues. There are three sections - the top screwback portion, long bamboo silver middle, and the oval quartz stones - so these have plenty of movement.
