Today we have a vintage Mexican silver parure made by Maestro Sigi Pineda. Sigi has had a long career in handmade jewelry within the Spratling era. I am used to seeing minimalist, fluid pieces by him and the brooch at hand, wrought in sterling silver and adorned with a teardrop-shaped obsidian, is the result of a good moment indeed...

Beautiful vintage French wired necklace in silvertone metal with rhinestone balls with prong set stones, clear faceted glass beads, and glass based faux pearls in champagne and very pale gray. With early spring ring clasp with a collar instead of the thumb tab. Probably 1950s or earlier. 52 inches wearable length. The glass beads are 11mm or just over 3/8 inch. Eight amethyst cabochons are set with a shadowbox effect with alternating trapezoid panels. The amethysts are gorgeous, perfectly matched in color, and the open-backed settings make them appear to glow from within. It's a truly magnificent bracelet, very substantial, and collector quality.

Less-is-more would be the term I would use to describe this Carmen Beckmann modernist ring if it weren’t for that stone! Molten caramel golds fill the tiger’s eye slab almost in an ombre arrangement so that the ring changes the way it looks as the light that hits it changes. Very pretty vintage floral pin in 14K yellow gold set with a cluster of six pearls. The setting looks somewhat like a poinsettia blossom. The Florentine finish and pierced veining add a nice bit of detail to the setting. The pearls, ranging from 4.5 to 5.0 millimeters, have ivory body color with very rosé overtones. The nacre is thick and very lustrous. Tested and guaranteed 14K gold.
