Decorated with classic Nordic scene of a manned sled drawn by a moose in a snowy landscape, framed by a colorful aurora borealis. The enamel exposes nice guilloche work underneath, in a modified lozenge-shaped frame. The back bears the mark of Ivar T. Holth and the Norway mark for sterling silver. The silver is gilded. The pin measures 1 3/8 inches long by 7/8 inch wide. Weight: 5.7 grams

Centered in a black enamel base is a silver boat bordered with a twisted rope design frame, Circa 1960, marked on back HIS LORDSHIP and Sterling, PAT no. Size: 1" x 3/4"; Condition is like new.

Here is a lovely pair of double-leaf, clipback earrings. The basse-taille enamel is a vivid, seafoam green. The earrings are marked with David Andersen hallmarks: the pair of scales, D-A 925 S STERLING NORWAY, with the designer’s mark (W inside a circle). (The clipback findings are marked “METALL” on the outside of the clip.) The earrings and their curvy, shiny leaves measure 1 3/8” x 1”. The pair is in excellent condition.

It's been a very long time since I offered a Mexican clamper bracelet and I am happy to be starting again with a classic Taxco design, this repousse and shadowbox "Quetzalcoatl" example. The maestro who signs it I am familiar with - he worked in Taxco and it seems that clamper bracelets were one of his favorite forms...

Charming sterling and white coral clip back earrings with a flower motif by Carmelo "Pat" Patania who was the brother of Frank Patania Sr. They measure 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" and are in fine original condition. Weighing 22 grams total, they are signed as shown. Lovely on.

This ring is quite lovely. The green enamel is perfect, depicting an abstract heart, or the head of a snake with large, green eyes (whichever suits your mood). The solid sterling silver band tapers from the pointed tip, as it wraps around. It is just under 1/2” at its widest. The inside is marked, “DAVID-ANDERSEN NORWAY STERLING 925S.” The basic size is a 7, but the band is slightly adjustable. This piece has good heft and is in excellent condition.

A fine pair of 14K gold cufflinks set with high-domed amethyst cabochons by David-Andersen. The amethysts have deep, rich coloring and excellent clarity. David-Andersen is widely known for its enameled silver jewelry, but also made a very limited number of pieces in gold. Each cufflink is stamped “D-A 585”.

Dating in the earlier period of Matilde Poulat’s extraordinary career, the cross pendant presented here is adorned with Matl’s favorite stones - turquoise, amethyst and coral. Inspired by Mexico’s rich folk art, it belongs in her daringly eye-catching series of “jeweled” creations but here, there is an additional motif that makes the pendant even more precious. Namely, the two small repousse angel dangles, facing each other in a kneeling position with lit candles in their hands...

A very attractive pair of 18K yellow gold cufflinks in the stirrup (“etrier”) style originally popularized by Cartier in the Art Deco era. The solid hinged bar passes through the cuff holes and the angled legs surround the outside of the cuffs to hold them securely together. The legs are decorated in an elegant herringbone weave pattern that creates just a little soft sparkle...

I never tire of the double-sided pendant necklaces Victor Jaimez created for Emma Melendez. The perfect blend of Aztec Revival and modernismo Mexicano, they are unfailingly characterized by craftsmanship of the highest level and meticulous finishing. At the same time dramatic and awe-inspiring, the pendant's two sides showcase several techniques as overlay, oxidation and mozaico inlay come together to create the image of Quetzalcoatl and the abstract figure of a Meso-american monkey...

Magnificent, rare vintage Georg Jensen sterling half disc link bracelet no. 169 designed by Astrid Fog c. 1969. Astrid Fog was known for her bold, simple designs often featuring geometric shapes as this piece. This bracelet measures 7 3/4" end to end, is 1 1/8" wide and weighs an impressive 128 grams. It curves and flows seamlessly on the wrist with a hidden clasp. Signed and numbered as shown, it is in beautiful original condition...

Bold, clean lines on this sterling and coral ring by Frank Patania. The center coral is a deep, dark Mediterranean coral at its best. A heavy, beautifully-detailed 14K yellow gold brooch in the form of a pine branch complete with needles and fully three-dimensional pinecones attributed to Laykin et Cie. The workmanship of the brooch is very fine. Each spray of needles is accented with a prong-set round brilliant diamonds of fine quality (I/VS). The back is marked “14K” and has an illegible maker’s mark...

I love pearls and when they are nested in an Antonio Pineda fine silver modernist setting, I consider myself in heaven! All the more so when it’s three glorious, softly shimmering pearls we are talking about. Graduated in size and each one a different hue, they are comfortably sitting in their precious channel, as if their only concern is to showcase the variety of nacre colors.
