A vintage sterling silver modernist pendant and necklace by Hans Sten and Karl Laine from Sten and Laine in Finland. Pendant reminds us of an abstract spiderweb. Pendant measures 3 1/8" long to the top of the bale and 2 1/8" at the widest. Chain is attached at the bale and closes with a spring clasp that holds tightly. Chain measures about 17" around. Marked on the bale with the hallmark for Sten and Laine, 925H for sterling, Town mark for Turku and T7 for 1972. Very nice condition...

This early Mexican necklace is based on the Los Castillo dragon design, and is every bit as spectacular. Featuring superb craftsmanship, it's a true statement piece with attention to detail second to none. Closed, wearable length is 17", with each dragon having a height of 3 1/4". Weight is 73.5 grams. Hallmarked "Mexico Silver", this piece dates pre-1948. In excellent vintage condition.

Composed of hollow-cast embossed panels with a geometric design, enhanced by oxidation. The necklace is secured by a hook closure that bears the maker’s initials of JSE, as well as marks for sterling and a partial mark of some sort. The back of one panel is also marked sterling. The necklace measures 15 ¼ inches long by 1 inch wide. Weight: 40.6 grams

Elegant and extremely wearable is this set by Miriam Haskell. In the necklace there are chains with tiny links, and a chain with long links that carries the the jade colored glass beads and faceted crystals. The round center of the necklace is very intricately designed with multiple levels and all prong set tiny rhinestones and a gold plated leaf design. On both the necklace and the button clip earrings, the filigree work is gorgeous...

Vintage 18K yellow gold brooch designed by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co. The “Scribble” design (sometimes called “Graffiti” or “Squiggle”) is probably the artist’s most famous creation and became one of Tiffany’s most desirable pieces. The pin was available in several sizes, this example being the second largest. The “Scribble” line is no longer in production and examples are getting difficult to find...

Striking ethnographically-inspired kinetic modernist earrings by William Spratling, arguably the most important name in Mexican Silver. The top portion are classic Taxco, but the large dangling loops freely suspended add a fresh, modernist touch, along with the excitement of motion. This wonderfully crafted 18Kt white gold filigree and diamond ring originally from the 1920’s brings back yesteryear’s splendor. The diamond in the center is a 0.84Ct old-mine diamond flanked by a straight sapphire baguette on either side. The diamond has I color and VS1 clarity as determined by our in-house gemologist.The ring is a size 6 and it can easily be sized.

An ode to overlay, beading and masterfully applied oxidation, this figural little Mexican Deco brooch is a depiction of Ozomahtli, the monkey companion of god Xochipili, associated with play and merry-making. I could have easily sworn that this is an example of Francisco Rivera’s work yet since it is not signed for maker, I can only suggest this might be the case...

An unusually fine and large 14K yellow gold sunburst brooch set with 105 natural seed pearls surrounded a .33 carat old European cut diamond (graded I, VS2). The pearls have very fine color and lustre. The piece retains its original folding pendant bail and pinstem, so it can be worn as a pendant or brooch...

An elegant pair of French Art Nouveau 18K yellow gold earrings designed in a openwork pattern of irises. The flowers and foliage are highlighted with delicate engraving. The gold surfaces are enhanced with the soft matte texture typical of French jewels of the period. The wires appear to be replacements and are stamped with French 18K marks.

Handmade 14k and ebony modernist earrings by Betty Cooke, c.1980's. The design features an ebony disc(3/4" diameter by 1/4"thick)around which gold wire is formed. Lightweight, they measure 2 1/2" long by 1 14' wide. Signed "COOKE" on the ebony, they are in excellent condition.....$11 for insured shipping in USA & applicable NY tax.

This delicate bracelet is decorated with sterling silver openwork floral panels that feature rectangular light blue aquamarines in bezel mounts. Each panel is connected by a ribbed link. The spring-ring clasp is original to the piece and in good working order. The bracelet is from the 1950s; it is unmarked, but tests as sterling. It measures 7 ½ inches in length.

Simple yet elegant defines this two-tone 14Kt gold filigree bar pin from the 1920’s. The body of the pin is made of yellow gold while the top is white gold. The pin is flat and the two leaf-like designs toward either end have a slight dome shape. The length of the pin is 2 5/8” and the width is 3/16” – 3/8”.

Today we are offering from the taller of Margot de Taxco a large floral necklace and matching bracelet. This design 5488 comes in two sizes with this being the larger example at 1.25in. tall. The repousse is thick silver and both pieces have a combined weight of 115 grams. The bracelet is 7in. long and it will hook into the necklace for a long chain. The necklace is 18in. long. Both are properly hallmarked as shown. Without dents or any type of damage just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A pair of vintage 14Kt yellow gold lever back earrings is set with 4.5 millimeter deep red coral balls. The earrings date back circa 1970 and were made in Italy. The diameter of the flowers is ½” and the height of the earrings is ¾”.

A deeply carved guilloche design radiates from a central rose and leaves on this sterling panel pendant. It hangs from its original silk cord, and features a small similarly decorated sterling and enamel slide, as well as a sterling chain tassel. A cobalt blue enamel border contrasts nicely with the silver panel. The back of the pendant is marked H.F.B., for H.F. Barrows & Co., of North Attleboro, Mass.
