Two pairs of sterling silver modernist abstract dangle earrings by Phyllis Sklar, American Mid Century jeweler. Can buy each pair individually or both pairs.

The first pair look like stylized commas. They are opposites so frame the face when worn. They measure 1" long and 1/2" at the widest. Have the stylized 'phyllis' hallmarks on the back of both dangles and sterling on the back of the screw backs.

Hand made sterling and whale ivory pin showing Eskimo catching a fish, Alaska, c.1960's. The detailed pin has an ivory face and fish. Of good size and weight, the piece measures 2 1/2" wide and long. It is signed "925 MADE IN ALASKA" and is in excellent condition. Very unusual and beautifully made......$10 for insured shipping in USA & applicable NY tax.

An organic mid century modern brooch by the American studio jeweler, Harry Osaki (1904-1985), who worked in Pasadena, California. Reminds us of a stylized fish.

This brooch, executed in sterling silver with an oval turquoise colored stone, measures 2 7/8" long and 1 1/2" at the widest.

Marked Osaki, Hand-Wrought and Sterling on the back.

Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Has a little tarnish and a few minor surface scratches.

This ladies circular plaid pin with cairngorn stone is 1 7/8" in diameter. Excellent condition.

There are no hallmarks on the pin bit it has been tested silver. The pin has a c-clasp in working condition but it may not be original.

This superb bracelet has a diameter of 2 3/4" It is marked JUST A (David Andersen's firm), STERLING DANMARK 638. The heavy, solid,3D Mermaid charm is marked BH (for Bernhard Hertz), STERLING DENMARK. The bracelet and charm are in excellent condition.

A sterling silver modernist pendant necklace with a brutalist design by Danish silversmith, Niels Erik (NE) From. Pendant is textured and oxidized and has a layer of gold in the center.

Marked From 925S on the back and also on the clasp.

The central pendant measures about 1 3/8" long and 1" high.

The necklace measures 16 1/4" long in total.

Clasp holds securely. The piece is in fine condition.

Classic Scandinavian design.

A vintage Mexican silver and amethyst large brooch reminiscent of the work of Antonio Pineda and Hubert Harmon. Has a large carved amethyst stone as the face and amethyst cabochons at the end of each earring.

Signed Mexico Silver in an oval. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949). Measures 2 1/2" across and 4 3/4" high.

The silver repousse work is in fine condition. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. The brooch has some minor tarnish...

This 'Showgirl' with long wavy bejeweled gilded tresses fur clip has size and aesthetic appeal. It is a very satisfying motif to collect. She is3"x 1 3/4". She is made up of two separate parts in different finishes.In this case her face is platinum finish and her tresses are golden.

In "American Costume jewelry by Brunialti & Brunialti, v. 2 p.164. she is called "Female Head" from 1941. Vogu;e, October 1. 1941 called her "platinum head" .

This is typical fine work by Hobe. The leaves and bow are layered. The roses go a step further by having individual petals wrap to form a circle just as real roses do. The semi-triangular plaque with the rectangular bottom marked Hobe, sterling, 1/20 14k, indicates that this brooch is lovely older Hobe dating between 1918 and 1932. 3" long.1 1/2" wide. 1/2" deep.

Beautiful hand made sterling belt buckle by Novak, c.1970's. This post-modern arts & crafts 2-part buckle has a striking shiny finish,is hand hammered, and has granulated silver balls. It is signed "NOVAK" on each piece. Not marked sterling but guaranteed, and is part of wonderful collection. Large, it measures 3 1/4" wide by 2" high. A modernist bracelet, 'Agena' by Zoltan Popovits for Lapponia, Finland in sterling silver.

Marked with the Lapponia Hallmark, 925, Finnish silver standard mark, date code F8, and scales mark.

Measures 7 1/2" long and 1/4" at the widest. Has a locking clasp that holds securely. Light texture for an interesting effect. Links are curved so lays nicely on the wrist.

In fine condition. Surface shows some minor scratches and a little wear...

 

A pair of cufflinks and a matching tie bar in the "Autumn" variation of the "Four Seasons" design by Thorbjorn Lie-Jorgensen for David-Anderson. The suite of designs was intended to present an abstract aerial view of Scandinavian farmlands in various seasons. The "Autumn" design features interesting engraved silver covered in beautiful shades of translucent orange, gold and brown enamels...

A well made pair of sterling silver and ebony cufflinks by noted American Modernist Jeweler, Allan Adler. Measure 5/8" square. Two of the sides are angled in for a clean modernist feel. Signed Allan Adler Sterling on each. Show a little wear and some minor tarnish. Toggles work fine. Great mid century design.

Gorgeous period art nouveau sheath with nude woman playing the harp sitting in the ocean waves with birds flying above by Unger Brothers, Newark, c.1905. The sheath probably held and can hold a comb, nail file, etc. and measures 3 7/8" long by 13/16" wide and the opening is 1/8" thick(so item should be a bit thinner) by 3/4" long. The design goes all the way around including the narrow edges. It is signed "UB STERLING 925 FINE UB" and is in very good condition...

An amazing modernist sterling silver ring with an abstract figural design signed with what looks like JPC, Iceland and 925S. Measures about a size 7- 7.5. The top sits 1/2" high and measures about 7/8" across and 1 3/8" long. Has an interesting hammered texture. Really stands out! Great example of Scandinavian modernist design.
