This late 19th-century gunmetal chain has both length and strength, with a bold, stunning look. It features a secure spring-ring clasp and a glossy, blue-black finish, produced by electroplating a coating of iron over a white metal. The links are securely soldered, save for the end link, which may have had a jump ring. Unclasped, the chain measures 51 inches long.

These Victorian hair pin are 5" in length and 1 3/4" wide. All the stones are faceted black glass all the way around. There is one stone missing on the top of one comb. Otherwise, there are in terrific shape.

Design measures 5/8" high and 5/8" across. Ring measures about a 7 and can be adjusted up or down.

So-called "chain mail" jewelry is not uncommon in the world of vintage Mexican silver. One can find them in all forms, with or without stones, and in all widths, signed by known maestros and by less-celebrated makers as well. There is something very slick about this design, its interwoven "mesh" inhabiting quite comfortably both the Art Deco and early modernist worlds. The necklace at hand is an example of the narrower versions but very well made and with good weight to it...

This c. 1910 buckle brooch is beautifully decorated with turquoise tour a guilloche enamel work, with round white enamel accents around the perimeter. The enamel is in excellent condition, save for two minute spots on two of the round white decorations. It is marked sterling on the back and features a secure C-clasp. The shade of the enamel appears to vary in the photo, but it actually is the same consistent, vivid turquoise throughout the pin...

This very flexible Diamonbar bracelet was pat. March 20,1917. It was made by the Wachenheimer Brothers, Inc., manufacturers of costume jewelry. They began their business in 1907 and ceased operation in 1931. They were located in Providence, Rhode Island. This bracelet is 7" long and 1/4" wide. It needs to be cleaned.

This pendant was constructed by a studio jeweler in the Brutalist style. It is composed of a rounded plaque with organic, coral-like protrusions applied to an oxidized surface. The tip of one branch is set with a white sapphire. The bail is very sturdy; the back shows a distinctive but unidentified maker’s mark. The pendant measures a little over 1 ½ inches long (the bail adds another 1/4 inch) and 1 ½ inches at its widest point. It comes with a vintage 20-inch sterling snake chain...

A vintage sterling silver geometric pendant with an inlay of exotic wood and a carnelian colored cabochon. Hand wrought intricate chain marked sterling on the hook clasp. Pendant measures 1 5/8" long and 7/8" across. Chain measures 19" long. Chain is original to the pendant, it can't be removed. Fine condition. Interesting contrast between wood and sterling surfaces. Well crafted studio piece.

This is a small pin, but its design reflects both charm and sophistication, with overlapping strands of sterling silver terminating in a smooth, fused surface. It is beautifully oxidized, which gives the piece depth, and nicely sets off the 6mm coral bead. The pin is marked ‘phyllis’ and sterling on the back, for modernist jeweler Phyllis Sklar. Sklar began selling her handcrafted jewelry in Greenwich Village during the 1950s, eventually moving to Provincetown, MA, where she died in 2010...

This interesting studio piece is composed of a geometric lattice-like design set with a dyed blue chalcedony in a secure bezel mounting. The spring-ring clasp is secure and marked 925 for sterling; the oblong panels linked by chain also test strongly as silver. The necklace measures 18 inches long, with a 3-inch-long center drop. A Mid Century Modernist sterling silver pendant in a brutalist style signed Macefield for William Mason and Leonard Field, American studio jewelers who worked in Massachusetts in the 1940's -70's.

An abstract sterling silver and exotic wood pendant suspended from what looks appears to be the original chain. Signed on the back of the pendant with script initials or characters, 925 and S.S. for sterling silver. The sterling is connected to the wood with rivets for an industrial feel.

A pair of geometric modernist sterling silver bangles, by Danish silversmith Helge Arthur Bang. Bang worked only for a short period (1962-73) and his works are rare. Makers’ mark HE BA, Sterling 925 S and Swedish import marks (three crowns and S), weight 17 grams. Inner diameter "2 ½/ 6,5 cm. Condition: fine.

A late Victorian 14K rose gold 1" x 5/8" chatelaine pin c1900. This pin weighs 3.9 grams and it is stamped 14K on the pin which closes with a c-clasp; it would have been used to suspend a pendant or watch. A dramatic sterling silver cuff bracelet of Precolumbian influence, featuing double birds with long, curling tails. The background is deeply oxidized, with a raised decoration; there are a few small areas of loss to the oxidation on one side. The inside of the cuff exhibits a circular mark of Sterling Taxco enclosing the initials LC, the number 148 and eagle 3. The cuff has a 7-inch internal circumference, with a 1 3/16-inch gap; it is 2 ¼ inches at its widest area. Weight: 58.9 grams
