An uncommon 18K yellow gold charm or pendant in the Sputnik style, bezel-set with round amethysts, green tourmalines, pink tourmalines, aquamarines, citrines and garnets. The design was created by H Stern in the 1950s to highlight the range of colored gemstones available from the mines of the company’s native Brazil. It later came to be known as “Sputnik” because of its resemblance to the spiky Soviet satellite launched in 1957...

Being offered is a circa 1958 sterling silver bracelet by Miguel Melendez, of Taxco, Mexico; handcrafted bracelet with superbly pierced square links featuring bezel set square tiger's eye stones; tongue & box clasp with security chain. Melendez worked for Spratling, Los Castillo and Margot before opening his own shop. Dimensions: 7 1/2 inches by 3/4 inch wide . Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition.

A modernist sterling silver necklace by noted artisan, Johannan Peter from the Israeli artist colony, Ein-Hod.

Two layers of sterling, the bottom has a lightly hammered texture. The top wires serve as embellishment and also as the link connectors.

Marked Made in Israel, ST, 925, 'PH'. Has a hook clasp which holds securely. Dark, warm patina. There is a minor repair to one of the connectors on the back that can't be seen from the front. Measures 16" long and 1 1/8" at the widest...

A lovely 18K yellow gold, diamond, and ruby love pendant (“medaille d’amour”) with a rebus spelling out “Plus qu’hier, moins que demain” (“More than yesterday, less than tomorrow”), a line from the love poem written by Rosemonde Gérard to her husband Edmond Rostand (author of “Cyrano de Bergerac”) in 1889. In 1907, the Lyonnais jewelry Alphonse Augis created a love token based on the poem. His designs changed over time and this piece is a classic example from the 1960s...

This ring is quite lovely. The green enamel is perfect, depicting an abstract heart, or the head of a snake with large, green eyes (whichever suits your mood). The solid sterling silver band tapers from the pointed tip, as it wraps around. It is just under 1/2” at its widest. The inside is marked, “DAVID-ANDERSEN NORWAY STERLING 925S.” The basic size is a 7, but the band is slightly adjustable. This piece has good heft and is in excellent condition.

Decorated in Peruzzi’s rich iconic style, this elaborate pin features cast flowers and wirework elements applied to a scrolled frame. An outstanding lantern-shaped Etruscan-style 18K gold charm/pendant featuring coral cabochons. The gold surfaces are worked with intricate beading and twisted wirework. The decorative gold work is among the best we’ve seen on this type of charm. The coral has pure orange-red color and nice polish. Here is a very Victorian brooch, featuring a cross, anchor, and heart, symbols of faith, hope and charity. The metal has very nice engraving. Unmarked, but made of a layer of gold on top of what looks like copper. The center of the heart is set with a seed pearl, possibly faux, and the cross is set with 11 tiny turquoise-colored cabs – they are too tiny for us to make a definite ID. It measures 1-3/16 x 7/8". The gold shows wear here and there, and it has a nice patina...

An elegant 18K gold and platinum marquise ring set with a central row of oval sapphires surrounded by rose cut diamonds. The sapphires have nicely saturated coloring, and the diamonds have good brilliance. The design is finished with a pierced gallery along the edges. A classic pair of Art Deco sterling silver cufflinks by Gaetan de Percin, the jeweler responsible for most of the Hermes jewelry designs in the 1930s and 40s.
