Velazquez is known for his folkwork style in Mexico City. Repousse carved tops and puffy moth links were his specialty. This amethyst center is a gorgeous glowing stone. A roomy, approximately 17in wearable and a 1 1/8 inch at it's widest point in the drop make a clean, tasteful size to wear with anything and go anywhere. This stunning bracelet by the famous Antonio Pineda showcases his remarkable design skill and quality craftmanship. The round links are hinged at the top and bottom and each holds two uniquely cut deep toned Carnelian stones at the side. Measures 7 1/2" long by 7/8" wide and weighs 55.6 grams. Hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco Crown, Hecho en Mexico, 970 and the eagle 17. Gem set box clasp and attached safety chain. A rare and special bracelet by one of the Masters.

A fascinating pair of Edwardian 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces set with square rock crystals. The crystals have concave circles in the center and the edges are finished with an oxidized surface that gives the impression of hematite. The clear circles reveal quirky, almost cartoon-like portraits of dogs that have very rigid demeanors like those often seen in 19th century portraits of people. These are not to be confused with reverse-carved Essex crystals...

A fine Victorian period French jet (black glass) necklace c1885-1900. This necklace measures 58" long and it can be worn doubled if desired; it consists of faceted beads with faceted teardrop, lozenge and barrel shaped beads. It is 3/8" at its widest and each bead is individually hand knotted...

A vintage hammered sterling silver brooch with leaves by Joan Polsdorfer, who signed her work JoPoL, and was the first American designer to work for Georg Jensen, USA. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Warm patina. Great Arts and Crafts design.

Signed as shown this Lotus necklace is dramatic, made of thick silver repousse and does command an audience when gazed upon. It is also Mona Lisa's favorite as you see her in it. the drop is 4.5 inches across and 4.5 inches down. For size the 4.5in down is also part of the wearable of 17 inches. No damage anywhere. All collections need one of these. Looks great with a white button front shirt that can go anywhere you do. A go to piece, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Terrific, bold , sterling, oxidized sterling and baroque pearl cuff links by Mid Century Modern American studio jeweler and sculptor Merle Newport Boyer ( 1920- 2009). Born in Oregon, he moved to Honolulu in 1940 and quickly established himself in the art scene. He opened his first studio there in 1952 and also taught courses in jewelry at the Honolulu Academy of Art School...

These c. 1910 cuff links exemplify a classic design by a preeminent American maker. Oval, both sides with 14-kt gold backs inset with black mother-of pearl and enhanced with a center seed pearl. The rims are likely platinum. The gold bridge bars are marked for Larter and Sons, Newark, NJ. Each side measures 5/8 inch long by 3/8 inch wide.

This silver buckle is so perfectly Art Nouveau and so perfectly William B. Kerr. It is 5 1/4" wide and 1 5/8" high and bears these markings: PATENTED JUNE 25, 1901; STERLING; 1564; and the fasces [maker's mark for Kerr]. It is in excellent condition, and the patina of age has been left undisturbed. Circa 1900.

A rare Victorian 14K yellow gold stick pin featuring a reverse-carved Essex crystal depicting a Chihuahua. Various dog breeds were depicted in Essex crystals, but this is the only piece we’ve seen with a dog that looks like a Chihuahua. The round setting, with its simple but finely crafted rope-twist border highlights the carved crystal. The colors are strong. The background appears to be silvered instead of the more usual mother-of-pearl...

A fine and very early pair of silver cufflinks in the “Maya” pattern by Margot de Taxco. Margot established her own studio in 1948. The “Maya” pattern, displaying a strongly-featured native Mexican man in profile, became one of her iconic designs. The cufflinks are generously sized and retain a nice patina...
